Walter Hermann on the cheap???
Rumor has it that Detroit is open to moving Hermann out, and they've taken several calls on him.
Detroit trades:
Walter Hermann
Jarvis Hayes
08 Unprotected 1st rounder
Toronto trades:
Jamario Moon
Juan Dixon
Your Thoughts?

Could you at least put trade idea, rather then making it look like some legitamate rmour.
My proposed idea:
"Bad Fake Trade between Toronto and Detroit proposed by a Pretend GM"
Listen, you are so lucky I'm on a tight leash. Stop being disrespectful, his tittle is perfect
He did add a question mark.

Moon starts for us, is probably the teams most important defensive player and is on a great contract. So why exactly would the Raps trade him for a couple of bench players and a pick that might as well be in the 2nd round?

Nurse is below average at best.
Masai is overrated.
I dont get how so many people believe in the raptors, they have zero to chance to win it all.

Look at what Hermann did last year with Charlotte. He put up great stats on a bad team.... while shooting great %'s
You have a thread here to get Mike Miller, someone who is putting up good stats on a terrible team. I think given time at SF, Hermann could give you similar to what Miller would. Just look at what he did last year with Charlotte.
You have fans willing to give up Moon and a first for Miller.

Of course that deal doesn't work either.
AS for Herrmann, maybe it was just a fluke last year. Certainly you're not trying to imply that Herrmann, based on a couple of solid months with a bad team is as good as Mike Miller who has put up solid numbers in this league for years? And why isn't he getting any back-up SF minutes for the Piston's if he's such a great talent?
2 more things. Herrmann is a free-agent this summer so the Raps can sign him then if they like. What's the point in renting him for 2 months? Meanwhile Moon (who once again, starts for the Raptors and is a very important defensive player) is on a nice, extremely cheap contract for one more year. He's one of the best bargains in the entire league.
Just because you keep insisting that this is a good trade doesn't make it one. Would you like Joey Graham instead? He's yours.

I'm not insisting its a good trade.
I don't think its terrible by any means.
One of Detroit's major weaknesses last year was not having anyone off the bench who could defend Lebron. Delfino got abused.
Jamario would be the ideal player to come off the bench and fill that role.
Hayes has played quite well for Detroit, but he's not a defensive stopper. I really think this would give Toronto two rotation players and a draft pick.
I guess I didn't realize how much you valued Moon. It seems like reading these boards everyone here is not happy with the team's wing players and wants to upgrade.

now i haven't seen the post you speak of yet, but i got to think the logic behind it would be that Mike Miller is a clear upgrade of what we currently have at the 3 spot so moon would be expendable but right now Moon >>> Hermann ...bstein14 wrote:Look at what Hermann did last year with Charlotte. That's fine for the Pistons but how does losing Moon for a couple of weak defenders help us? Even with Moon we're weak both defensively and on the glass and not very athletic overall. And while you see some people on these boards complain about the offense, it's our defense and rebounding that need to improve. Our offense is just fine.
Many people undervalue Moon on these boards and don't realize his true worth to the team because he's not a big scorer. I'm just not one of them. I think he's a more valuable starter for our team than both Bargnani and Parker.

Joey Graham for Herrmann works under the checker. And Graham was a starter for a playoff team last season!
Maybe Graham is the type of physical SF that can help bother James? I certainly don't think he is but some people would argue differently.
