Boston needs Big and Posey wants term - good S and T option?

Boston has been working out big men and Posey isn't happy with their offer (he wants the full MLE and a 4-5 year contract).

Would the S and T for Hump (and possibly Graham) and Posey make everyone happy?

Do you think Posey is the guy for the Raps at the 3, or is he too much of a role player...and do you think a 4-5 year contract at 5+ Mil is too much, or risky, for him.

His defense will be a nice add, and he's been a streaky scorer in the past, but if given the opportunity maybe he can return to his 14+ PPG per season he had with the Grizz. He' born in 77 so he's 2 years younger than Parker at 31, but a four year contract would tie us to him until he's 35.

I think he'd be rather redundant.

The truth is, given the lack of bigs on the Raps already (in case Bosh and/or O'Neal go down for any significant time - which is fairly likely at some point to occur), Humps is much more important to the team. Moon can do a lot of what Posey can do but obviously needs to improve on his three point shooting.

The Raps shouldn't be looking for another SG or SF unless that player can create his own shot. That's the need the Raps want to fill - and Posey isn't that. Also, the last thing they want to do is trade away a big man without getting one in return.

Doesn't Danny Ainge know that Posey won them the title? While KG disappeared every 4th quarter and RAy RAy showed up when games were out of hand, Posey hit big three after big three. Momentous threes. And his D was superb. No Posey, no bench, no title. Think Ainge is bluffing.

Posey would have to really want to come here, and I doubt he would. Every contender wants him, and Ainge isn't going to S&T him within his division for Dumbphries even if he is crazy enough to let him go.

Exactly. I'm shocked he's not being offered more. That was their biggest acquisition after getting the big 3. Without him, they probably wouldn't have won the title.

Boston has a few so-so undersized hustle/rebounder players on their roster in Powe and Big Baby. Why would they want another? They're probably looking for bigmen with size to back up Perkins if he goes down again.

Posey is a solid defender and can hit the open 3...every team needs one of him.
