I agree with trying to see if we can get J-Rich from the Bobcats due to monetary probs of theirs but i think we'll be one of a few teams in a line for his services, although it would be nice.

That's the only way I would do it. Great idea.

I like Al but if you do this who do you have for SG? Belineli and Joey? H Adams?

you're trading 2 players for 1 practically.. the raps would be an exhausted team come
mid season.. no floor replacements.

wouldn't do it, as much as it was appealing at 1st.

Now dagger is pushing for a Wallace deal? ;)
Wallace the same as Moon? Wallace has very good man-to-man defense, better shooting abilities, and better rebounding. He is also 2 or 3 years younger and has excellent work ethic. Unlike Moon he drives to rim when told to.

JRich would great, but he is Charlotte`s franchise and last year he relied on shots way too much. However, he did win the dunk competition in back-to-back years so you be the judge. He is Charlotte`s go to guy, so it`s unlikely he is traded unless there is an overhaul in ownership or management and a rebuild is announced.

I say no way we're involved because we'd be trading alternating 1sts at least to make a deal for Harrington worth it from GS' perspective.

Still, the possibility is there for a deal centered around Kapono I suppose. And Nelly does love his shats.

I'm sure BC has made a call, but I can see GS, wanting picks and expirings for a deal to happen, or at least they wouldn't want to take on more salary than what they send out.

A deal I would like to see is:

Jason Kapono
Anthony Parker
Kris Humprhies
Hassan Adams
2009 1st round pick
2009 2nd round pick

for

Al Harrington
Kelenna Azubuike
Marco Belinelli
Richard Hendrix

Jose Calderon - Roko Ukic - Will Solomon
Kelenna Azubuike- Marco Belinelli
Al Harrington - Jamario Moon - Joey Graham
Chris Bosh - Andrea Bargnani - Al Harrington
JO - Nathan Jawai - Richard Hendrix

Ok, lets have look at this.. Al wants out and not many teams would want to take a risk on his rather fat contract.. from GS' perspective, they'd rather get rid of him and his contract fast.. so there is no need to give up anything of value here.

Kapono
Graham

for

Al
Belli

We replace kapono's shooting with that of Bellinelli's (and that too on the cheap, Bargnani gets his wish too) and then we replace graham with Harrington to play the starting SF spot. I wouldn't trade hump simply cuz Hump rebounds and Al doesn't do much of it. Bargnani doesn't rebound as it is. So hump will be needed as our hustler.

We ask Bellinelli as compensation for taking on Al's long contract. And nelli would just love Kapono and his long bombs (or lack thereof). Graham gets them an expiring cntract and we take a chance on Al's 2 yr deal without affecting our capspace for 2010 offseason.

What you all need to remember is that, if we take back anything more than $1100 in salary than we send, we will pay the luxury tax.

That alone makes this all horribly unlikely. Throw in the fact that, hours after it was posted, a refute was posted as well, and it seems to me like Harrington won't be donning a Raptors uniform. Thank god.

Golden state's top priority is a PG

DeMarcus Nelson (who?) beat out CJ Watson & Marcus Williams to win the starting job

they want a PG or at least someone who can play PG/SG

By the way, Harrington has no post game. He's a SF

Why is everyone ready to trade the only perimeter talent this team has left (which isn't very much) for backup PF/SF tweener (which he would be on the Raps)?

Is he even capable of playing the 3 anymore?

Well the last season and a half he played in Golden State and Nelson is notorious for playing small where guys like 'Buke, Barnes and Pietrus played 4. While he hes too slow to guard wing players, he is still a better wing option than anyone we have by a significant margin(with the possible exception of Parker).

Yes a line up of Bosh, ONeal. Al Harrington would be SICK!!!! I would give up anyone outside of our top 3 to get a deal done... How bout this:

Kapono
Moon
Graham

for
Al Harrington
M Benelli

Throw in additional fodder as needed. This ain't too bad of a deal for either side IMO

DeMarcus Nelson is starting at point guard for the Warriors? Good Lord... wasn't he a Small Forward at Duke?

Al Harrington is decent at everything and great at nothing. I've never understood why so many people get wet over him. He's not a difference-maker for a team like this.

What do you mean in terms of difference making? He's at least an upgrade over Moon or Graham, and he'll instantly make us a more rugged, more hard-ass team. If he can be had at a decent exchange, why not? A decent double digit scorer, capable of stretching defenses and an above average F/C defender. Average maybe a charge a game, couple of hard fouls. Actually someone who will get in the face of an opposing player for sending one of our players to the floor. I'd rather have him any day over Ruben Pattycake.

It ain't happening. No way. Our team is set as it is.

Look for him to go to a team that has a 2 good PG's and doesn't have a true PF...

Charlotte fits that...Felton and Morrison for Harrington

Memphis fits that... Kyle Lowry and Hakim Warrick+filler for Harrington

New York could possibly make a pitch for him...

I don't see Harrington coming to Toronto and I don't see why anyone would want him here. First off he's a PF which is something we definitely don't need, he's played some SF in his career but he was very infective at SF. Kapono and Moon will give us better combined numbers at SF than Harrington ever could for us at SF.

No, he was an SG at Duke.
Nelson is from the nearby town of Vallejo, CA - tried out and made the team.
That gives you an idea of why they need a real PG
