if we're looking at pure stats, then I would give the nod to Brand, if we're looking at what one did for the team and the success of the team, then it's O'Neal.

i'd say brand simply because he'll be more heavily relied on to score as the 1st or second option behind iggy. o'neal is cleary our 2nd, maybe even 3rd option behind calderon in some nights

Brand will have better stats, JO will have a bigger impact.

Brand looks healthy and if he stays that way it's Brand on stats and impact IMO. Look at Philly. They suck at shooting. Transition is great, rebounding is phenomenal, but shooting (they're better than last night, but they still suck). Brand's effectiveness in the half court is going to be huge for them. The biggest concern for Philly has to be cohesion between Iggy and Brand. With JO and Bosh that doesn't seem like it's going to be a problem, but if Brand's impact takes away from Iggy's impact, then the benefits are minimized. I wouldn't judge that too much based on one game, but you can see the potential for that to be there and Mo needs to make sure it doesn't come about.

I hope we can take another look at this after about 10-15 games (this is realGM so it'll probably happen every 48 hrs for the rest of the season), 'cause as much as one game isn't much of an indicator, I honestly think both those moves will still look like good moves by the end of the season.

Keep in mind Brand the the primary option in the 76ers frontcourt. most nights he will get 15-20 touches. JO has bosh to contend with.
