10 cent wings anyone?

Post#1 » by RUN-TMR » Sat Nov 8, 2008 3:29 am

Is there any better proof than Moon (4 pts. 2 reb) and Parker (4 pts. 2 reb) and a combined 2-14?

Now I know this is beating a dead horse. But with no immediate help in sight, I wouldn't be surprised is a trade gets made to upgrade this truly pathetic wing duo (each of whom, it should be said, are OK in their own right). Any guessers on what might happen?

I highly doubt BC will make any move to upgrade the position, especially this early in the season. What would be the point? It's not like this team is likely to be a championship contender in any event.

Why not just cut the Knicks out of the deal then? I'd rather have Harrington here than Crawford. (I wouldn't give that much for either.)

Why?

Harrington is a poor defensive player for his size, and even more of a chucker than Crawford. Crawford atleast has good handles and can slash to the basket.

Neither would be my optimal choice for improvement at the wing positions in Toronto, though.

We'll probably try to draft one and/or sign one. We gave up to much for O'Neal he wasn't worth a top 10point guard and a starter plus a first rounder.

I bet you Dorrell Wright could be had for cheap, hes getting no burn in Miami, yet he isn't really the answer. He's shown enough promise however, and we could try and develop him...

That's exactly the reason he should consider a trade. There's a good chance PArker AND Moon won't re-sign next season, and there's a good chance Parker won't be our starter if we ever do contend for a title (Which should take a few more years at the very least). Why not look for a younger replacement who will save us some money and hopefully make our starting five a tad more talented?

I think GS has wings to be had, and I'm not necessarily talking Harrington......I really like Kelenea's game..he attacks relentlessly and thats what this team needs...I would highly consider giving up a 1st for him....

Not just Kelena.....GS has Belleni who is not getting any burn either, I'm sure B.C is probably interested in him too......if we want wings, we should talk to G.S.
