Theyy're dropping their starting PF in Harrington in the trade that was taking 33 minutes a game. They're basically getting Bargnani for Azabukee, which isn't that bad for them.

Harrington's minutes belong to Wright, Turiaf and occasionally Randolph anyway.

It's not a bad deal value-wise, but there's more opportunity for Azubuike than Bargnani on GS

Charlotte Trade Breakdown
Incoming Players: Marcus Williams, Al Harrington, Anthony Parker
Outgoing Players: Sean May, Raymond Felton, Gerald Wallace
CHA sheds salary, adds a post scorer and upgrades their guard D.
Augustin, Richardson, Parker, Harrington, Okafor
Williams, Carroll, Morrison, Dudley, Mohammed

Golden State Trade Breakdown
Incoming Players: Raymond Felton, Joey Graham, Andrea Bargnani
Outgoing Players: Marcus Williams, Kelenna Azubuike, Al Harrington
GSW adds to the youth core.
Felton, Jackson, Maggette, Bargnani, Biedrins
Nelson, Belinelli, Randolph, Wright, Turiaf

Toronto Trade Breakdown
Incoming Players: Sean May, Gerald Wallace, Kelenna Azubuike
Outgoing Players: Joey Graham, Anthony Parker, Andrea Bargnani
TOR upgrades their perimeter.
Calderon, Azubuike, Wallace, Bosh, O'neal
Ukic, Moon, Kapono, Humphries, May

I don't like G Wall for Bargnani trade because we still don't have players that can create. But with Azabuike that's fixed a bit. It gets us a lot more athletic on the perimiter, with more ability to break down defenders and get things going to the Basket. Our perimiter shooting would still be fine. And we're better defensivly. Plus we might even get some transition points with Azabuike, and G Wall.

I actually like that, but it would really be up to Kelenna Azubuike, from what i know if a restricted free agent signs an offer sheet, such as KA did during the summer wit the clippers, if his current team matches the offer, there is a 1 year probation period where if he gets traded, he has to approve of the trade, according to espn.

This trade is highway robbery for the Warriors. I am baffled by the number of people that think otherwise.

--> Felton has more talent, potential upside and trade value than Azubuike. Even if the talent level was close, guards with passing skills are more valuable than swingmen with tunnel vision. Azubuike would get completely exposed on a team that actually ran offensive sets.
--> Barganani would fit nicely into the Warriors free flowing offensive style. If they could land him for a malcontent like Harrington, the Warriors would be laughing all the way to the bank.
--> Graham for Williams is a swap of talented scrubs that cant out their game together at the NBA level.

How do the Warriors lose here?

Well, I was expecting some type of move from Colangelo--whether it be a trade for a Belinelli or Harrington--but it was probably just wishful thinking.

I think a Bargnani Biedrins frount court wouldn't be so bad either.

we shoudl really be looking at Josh Howard of Dallas.

he can create for himself. he has gone back to his aggressive D that got him all the recognition in the league to begin with. He isnt falling in love with his J anymore, and he's getting to the FT line alot, where he is converting. He's attacking the rim like his names Maggette this season.

There is alot of opportunities with the Clippers if we centered it on Bargnani-Thornton. One would be

Kapono
Graham
Bargnani

for

Thornton
Mobley
Hart

There is others in the trade checker that work without Kapono and sub in a Parker or Humphries for basically getting back the same players.

I happen to think Bargnani has a bright future in the NBA but I also love Thorton and this trade or different variations of it would balance out the roster rather nicely.

Calderon-Hart-Solomon
Mobley-Parker-Ukic
Thorton-Moon-Adams
Bosh-Hump
JO-Hump

The Clippers aren't going anywhere, Kapono back in LA would be a draw, Bargnani could develop with a youngster in Gordon and Kaman with Davis.

After watchin Anthony Morrow play today, no wonder Belinelli is benched.

Interesting.

You think Bargnani is of equal value to Thornton but I think Bargnani can nab you more than just Thornton.
#Raptors are 7-1. In 6 of the past 10 seasons, a team that has started a season 7-1 has gone on to win an NBA championship.
