Bosh and Turkoglu meshing quickly
But Chris Bosh seemed to know it was coming, he took the 5-foot dish from Hedo Turkoglu and completed an uncontested layup, one of the best signs so far in the pre-season for the Raptors.

While all questions cannot be answered after one half of one pre-season game, the meshing of Turkoglu and Bosh seems to be coming along quite nicely.

Start of a new era
Perhaps the most encouraging highlight came when DeRozan drove under the basket and flipped a pass to Turkoglu, who quickly completed a touch pass to Bosh for a basket that gave the Raptors a 19-16 lead.

"We talked before the game and during the game," Turkoglu said of building an on-court relationship with Bosh.

"It will take time. I've just got to feel more comfortable being out there with all of them."

Triano said Turkoglu and Bosh both "hit a bit of a wall" in the third quarter. That contributed to the Raptors' poor defensive performance.

Replay
Raptors coach Jay Triano said he hopes to hear good news soon regarding small forward Antoine Wright, who did not travel to Hartford because of a sore right knee. "Hopefully he'll be able to play (today) when we head back home,'' Triano said. "I know he's itching and ready to go. He had a good training camp but he has yet to play in a game. He hasn't been rewarded for his hard work yet.''

Doug Smith's Blog:
I think about half a dozen times in the first half, and a couple right at the start of the second, the ran post-ups for Bosh, with Turkoglu making the entry pass.

Of the three bigs, it looks like Bosh may be the inside guy, which plays to his newfound strength, actually.

And, no, he didn’t pass out of it very often last night but I wouldn’t worry about that. That game, and the four before it and the three to come, are for working on things and if he’s working on moves – a baseline fade off the left block looks like Job 1 – everyone’s okay with that.

Edit - Very little info on Evans
If you’re sitting around breathlessly waiting for some update on Reggie Evans and the sprained foot he suffered Wednesday night, stand down.

With no media after their little Read To Achieve dog and pony show this morning, we’re not going to here any update until dinner time.

If I get a whiff, I’ll let you know but it’s probably going to be close to game time before there’s news.

Joey Graham is holding out hope of making the Nuggets roster.

He shouldn't have to worry. It's all but certain.

Graham, 27, has impressed Nuggets coach George Karl so much that Karl has already talked about fitting the 6-foot-7, 225-pound forward in the rotation during J.R. Smith's seven-game suspension when the season starts." There's a 'how we played' last year that I don't think any of us want to change," Karl said. "Joey has that Dahntay Jones personality. They are different players, going to do it in different ways. But from the standpoint of courage and toughness and the

The Nuggets once tried to trade Linas Kleiza for Graham when he was with Toronto. That didn't work out, and they almost missed out on Graham again this summer. Cleveland, Minnesota, Charlotte and Houston all courted Graham, who played his first four NBA seasons with the Raptors, averaging 6.4 points, 3.1 rebounds and shooting 48 percent from the field.

Thanks for the papers. That cheerleader looks great. Nothing like a flat hard stomach (yeah, I know, I'm getting old but oversized fake boobs and pouty lips all start looking the same after a while).

Good for Joey!. Watched their preseason game the other night and he didn't look outa place. Still wish we had him as our third string SF. I would give up Douby in a heartbeat to free up a spot for Joey.

I still think Joey can be a very good rotation player on this team, really wished we retained him. I would take him over Bellineli, Douby right now.
