OT?-Maggette

Post#1 » by Boomdizzle1 » Sun Jan 10, 2010 4:41 am

I know people have said many times before that we need to get Maggette on this team or someone of his caliber, but it seems like he's more available now than ever with that train wreck of a team in Golden State (Nelly needs to stop changing line-ups every 12 hours). We could use his slashing/cutting, just wondering if you guys think he's a realistic option? PS: I hardly ever start new topics so not sure if this will get locked but its saturday night and I didnt go out and im really bored and sick of call of duty 2. Thoughts?

Nah. His contract is too big and he's not really even a very good player anymore. Go get Modern Warfare 2.

I like him. He's has gotten tons of flack because of his selfishness, but I think he can get opponent bigs into foul trouble with his aggressiveness to the rim. Along with Bosh, we can get opposing teams into the foul penalty early which will lead to easy buckets at the FT line, where we excel at because of our great shooters.

If we get him for cheap, like expirings, I would not hesitate to pick up some talent like Maggette.

He's a really good player. Just like Jamal Crawford he's had a bad rap for being on a bad team most of his career. You don't hear anybody bad mouthing Crawford anymore. He'll probably get 6th man of the year.
