This is a Leafs town, period. The number of people in Toronto who follow basketball is in the minority. Because of his size, someone might guess he's some kind of athelete, probably basketball, but to say with as much conviction as you that 'the chick knew exactly who Hedo is," is reaching.

... These girls are not innocent victims. They are opportunists.

I'm not trying to take sides here and this story is getting a lot more play here than anywhere else, but what exactly is the opportunity here? A picture was taken of a woman in which Hedo is in the background. Even if you accept evil intent that they were really trying to get Hedo's picture, it was obviously the wrong angle as they got his back as he was leaving.

Hedo is not Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise where you can sell the photo to TMZ or Enquirer or even Toronto Star for $$$. Could the women have anticipated that he would grab their camera and deleted the photo and thus go to the Toronto Star to have their names in the papers with this story? I don't think so. It was just a few girls in a club taking pictures of someone who they think could be a celebrity that are a dime a dozen. I can't see any opportunity here other than a few girls out having fun at a club.

Again, in order to villify Hedo here you have to jump to many conclusions:
1. The photo in the Star is cropped
2. The girl taking the photo doesn't knows how to aim it well and this is in fact her VERY FIRST TIME EVER TAKING A PHOTO WITH HER PHONE or any camera in general, and she did get bumped or jostled by someone when taking it.
3. The girls didn't know who he was
4. The girls are as pure as snow and it is all a big mistake.
5. Turk clearly knew, without any doubt, that the pic was being taken specifically of him because it was.
6. Ignore all evidence and testimony from fans here that Hedo is approachable, affable and obliges when asked to have his photo taken.

I do not like Hedo on the Raps. That is true. I have also said that it is not his fault that he is a bad fit here, which he clearly is. So I do not hate him personally. Just want him moved.

But NO, you do not have to make any of those assumptions to make Hedo the bad guy here. You can accept his complete story as truthful and he is still an idiot.

That being said we've had multiple threads were fans have met Hedo and asked to have photos with him and have talked ball and not once has he been rude or less than obliging. I think that if these girls simply did the polite thing and asked this would be a complete non-issue.

Canadian law prohibits civilian citizens from taking the law into their own hands by forceably destroying property because they felt they were wronged. And, yes, a photograph in whatever format is property and by seizing the camera with the intent of destroying property within it, is against the law.

If Hedo was so concerned, the correct action would've been to notify the club owners to call the Police to try and confiscate or destroy the property (the photo in question). The real correct action would have been for Hedo to let this go and there would've been no story at all.

Remember that photo a RealGM poster took with Hedo in the supermarket? If you're out there, poster, you should share that photo in the comments section of the paper to help the guy out a bit here.

The average Torontonian will read this and get an image of Hedo that's probably not 100 percent accurate. He clearly takes photos with fans... when asked.
