DeMar DeRozan? Heaven help us all.

Remember when basketball players were named Jack and George? No wonder this sissy hurt his ankle. He hurt it trying to spell his own name!

Wright defending SGs is a no-no much less D-Wade of all players, but then again Wright looks like an actual NBA player now compared to earlier in the season so I wouldn't mind all that much seeing him in the starting lineup if the reasoning is to maintain Belli's effectiveness off the bench.

Updated the thread with this from RaptorsRepublic:

DeRozan is unlikely to play on Wednesday against the Heat after picking up an ankle injury in practice on Tuesday.

I think he'll be fine for tommorow. I'm still predicting he'll play in(start) every game this season.

he just needs to take the rest of the day off, keep as much weight off it as possible. Maybe get in abit earlier than usual for practice tommorow.

I also think that there should be a room(near the locker room) full of beds. If someone wants to stay really late after practice and are to tired afterwards, they can just spend the night.

We all knew someone was going to get injured when Reggie got back. Amir is probably high on the hit list

lolz Hedo's even injuring teammates now. Demar will be fine. Give him a few days rest. It's just a bit unfortunate because we're entering a crucial stretch and weakest part of our schedule.

A bit more for those interested:

Reggie Evans returned to practice on Saturday, giving the Toronto Raptors a full stable of healthy players for the first time this season. Well, that was short lived.

Swingman DeMar DeRozan left Tuesday's practice early after rolling his right ankle. He stepped on Hedo Turkoglu's foot in a drill.

"He sprained his ankle [Sunday] in a game and sat out most of yesterday's practice because of that," Raptors head coach Jay Triano. "He came back [Tuesday] and I think it's the other one."

"He's got two. I told him, ‘Hey, Demar, you've got to look at things positively: if you're going to have two ankle sprains you might as well have them at the same time. Get them out of the way."

Triano said he had not decided who would start in DeRozan's place if he cannot play Wednesday against Miami, but he did not shoot down the idea of starting Antoine Wright. He also brought up the possibility of Sonny Weems starting on his own.

Damn, this sucks. Obviously, no player can stop Wade, but DeRozan forced him to shoot tons of tough jumpers and did a great job of funneling him inside to our help defenders in our first meeting. Anyways, doesn’t really matter who we start. Just play zone D to prevent Wade’s penetration.
