New Era of Jazz Basketball

Post#1 » by AingesBurner » Thu Sep 1, 2022 11:30 pm

Crazy summer but definitely exciting times for some of us who have wanted the Jazz to tank for top tier talent. Only forward from here with Smith, Ainge, Zanik, and Hardy.

New team headlined by Sexton and O.A. for now! I will actually watch games this year.

This is going to be really interesting to see how this plays out.

Can KAT and Gobert work? Love Gobert, but as a Jazz fan, I hope not. If it does, though, those picks aren't as valuable.

Can the small backcourt of DM and Garland with two bigs (Allen and Mobley) work? Once again, we hope not, but I do think that it will work better than DM on the Knicks with Brunson and the players that would have remained. Also, personally, I would have valued 2 unprotected Knicks picks which would have probably been used sooner over 3 of the Cavs several years out.

The Jazz are probably relying on getting a top 5 on their own the next couple of years, that the TWolves don't mesh and that DM moves on before the Cavs picks convey.

I wonder if Danny can go to the Knicks now and see what it would take to get RJ in a trade.

I doubt Leon Rose would pick up the phone.
With that said I don't think RJ is going to be worth his new contract.
