NAW is making the most of his opportunity. He's got 21 points on 10 fga and it is just early Q3.

So Conley, Lauri, Clarkson and Sexton all out.
Maybe it's coincidence, but it kinda looks like the tank is officially starting.

New York said Mitchell wasn't the guy you trade the sink for, then they traded it for Mikal, lol.

Jazz played with a lot of heart. The best past is we are recovering NAW.
This is what I hate about this season. We can compete vs best teams in the west (nuggets, Suns, pelicans) but we can lose vs anybody.

If they're just trying to prevent nagging injuries, I'm all for it.
I'd argue it'd be too transparent to rest 4/5 of your regular starters without any medical data to back it up, huh? Wouldn't the league officials be overly curious is these type of situations?

I like the quote- it makes me chuckle. And it was/is pretty much true.

I understand and agree with you but it could be worse. They might only be able to compete against the trash teams and not have anything against the big boys. You must have felt hot blood running in your veins moments after the GSW win.
IMO it's easy to support an inconsistent team as long as you see there's some light in the tunnel. Now there is, they're playing better than expected. I'll remain in the anti-tanking bandwagon.
And a fast U-turn: not a fan of Gay...

I am not a fan of Gay either. I am all for finding a team that needs his skill set.

When I saw the starting lineup for the Jazz I thought we'd get blown out. Much respect to the team for making it a very close game right until the end, I don't know how they did that. I don't think we are tanking (unfortunately) but this is a quality loss. We played well with the roster we had, gave some development minutes to young players like NAW, THT, Agbaji, Bolmaro and Kessler, and almost won the game. But I can't say that I'm happy with were things are heading because it looks like we are going to end up in the worst possible spot of being on the cusp of being a playoff team and with a low draft pick--the worst of both worlds.
Also, I'm getting a strong feeling that the Spurs are going to end up with Wembanyama.

Draft Nate Wolters - FAILED
Keep Nate Wolters - FAILED

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

Considering Pop and the Spurs shamefully tanked in 96-97 to add a generational player, second MVP to an existing MVP and to a still intact team that was coming off 59 wins and the SW division championship, it would make me sick if Greg Popovich is able to successfully tank for a generational player a second time, though at least this time he wouldn't be adding a second MVP to an existing MVP.

I think a good team has both up-and-coming and experienced players. But experienced players have to provide leadership with their performances, not just to survive 15 mins. a game.
