Game 8: Utah Jazz (1-6) @Milwaukee Bucks (1-6)
It's strange that both teams have the same record. Can't allow the Bucks to somehow stealth tank. This is a good opportunity to help them out and pick up an L.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

I'm not sure what is happening to the bucks, but they should win... maybe players don't want Rivers around.

We were playing fine basketball until 6:00 mark minute at 3rd quarter. Then disaster...
We make a lot of mistakes who offer rivals fast breaks and free points We're gonna suck until we can fix it. It's not only about to get a chance on Flagg.. we need to develop those guys and how to play as a team.

Like FJS said, the Jazz were playing well until halfway in the 3rd when the subs went in. The Bucks made a run and Hardy, who is probably in on the tank, did nothing to stop it and let them play through it and thus letting the game get away from the Jazz. Since the goal is to lose, I endorse this decision.
I thought Kessler was very good on defense, he changed, bothered and created a lot of missed shots near the rim. Juzang was solid, and Sexton was kinda ok. Other than that there wasn't any player who had a good performance even if the shots were falling in the first half of the game.
Glad the Jazz could help the Bucks, and now they officially have the worst record in the league.

Markkanen has had a pretty bad year.

Small sample and it sounds like he was still dealing with the back issue this game. Wouldn't be surprised if they shut him down until he is fully recovered if he aggravated it. But yah, not great so far.

I thought Andy Larsen the Trib writer made a great point about this game last night. If we're going to suck and not play the youth - whats the point? The point of these types of years is to get reps for your youth. It might be ugly. It might be maddening but it will help with development. People might arguing that losing doesn't help with development and they might be right. But losing and getting DNP-CD doesn't help at all.
I wonder a bit if Hardys been less on the same page with Ainge/Ryan than I've believed in the past.

I mean, the goal is just throwing games, I don't think anyone in the Jazz org expects very much from Sensabaugh, Collier, or Filipowski.
