If the Spurs can't trade for Giannis using the 2nd pick, and have a backlog at the guard spot, and thus are willing to part with the 2nd pick (Dylan Harper) for Lauri plus a future FRP (preferably not this year's 5th)- do you do it?

I think that you have to. While having a 7 ft sniper from 3 that wants to be in Utah is appealing, Lauri is starting to not fit the timeline. Lauri could be great on the Spurs, which could make life difficult for us to compete with the Spurs a few years down the line, though. However, having Dylan Harper, one of Ace/VJ/Tre, and more than likely a top pick in 2026 is super appealing from a team building standpoint.

If the Jazz could trade for Dame using Sexton, Collins and Clarkson to get future draft assets, in combination with the above, I start to feel better about the future of the team.

If we are tanking again next year I think you need to trade Lauri, Collins, Sexton, and Clarkson and get really young so you have a higher percentage of someone you drafted becoming the alpha we can build around. Besides the locker room strengthening, those 4 players bring nothing for another year of tanking.
