The Return Of The Minivan: Jazz Trade For Niang
Don't know what's Niang's contract situation is but the Jazz get some assets for taking on his salary, I imagine. Looks like a good trade.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

Also, apparently Niang is on an expiring $8.2M contract.

I mean…sure. Why not? He’s a cool guy and an expiring so it works.

I am pretty happy to have him back, and we get the seconds (something we are a bit short on).

This is one of those instances that makes me wonder how much inside info David Locke has. Just a week ago he went on a rant about how amazing Naing is.

Per Jake Fischer on X, The two second-round picks Boston is sending Utah as part of the Georges Niang-for-RJ Luis Jr. trade are the 2027 most favorable between the Celtics/Magic, and the 2031 most favorable between the Celtics/Cavaliers.

He’s been hinting at everything before it happens for over a decade. I’ve been watching/listening to his his show since it was just a YouTube channel. Just don’t tell anyone so we can keep it our little secret and he keeps yapping.
