Please tell me that we are not going to let the Hornets or the Magic get better then us...how many more teams that make big moves and win until we figure it out that what we have on our team (roster) as of 1/5/08 is just not going to cut it coming towards the end of this season (down the stretch) and come playoff time, even if we make the playoffs, the way other teams are playing and building their rosters I am beginning to doubt that we will because other teams are building for championships not runner-up (which we are famous for doing).
So are we going to let them get better and we don't better ourselves? Are we just always going to keep that conservative role (which I don't have a problem with cause most of the time I am conservative) but it seems like in today's NBA you have to be a go getter have a deep bench (we don't have) and some veterans that can play, granted we just trade for one in Korver, but Harpring, Hart, and Collins just ain't doing it, mainly my concern is that Harpring is not healthy enough do be a shadow of what he was and probablly never will be and Harp has a big contract with his health is almost impossible to trade. Hart and Collins are just what they are sub-par players that make alot of money (but I actually think Collins plays half decent defense better than Okur, but thats all he does), and Hart...well...Hart is just Hart, can't really explain him.

this isn't nba 2k or live, you cant just make trades all willy nilly, we have to think future, do you really want to bring in a star player with a monster contract and have be strapped when the time comes to sign dwill, sap, brewer? or even if we can keep the core of starting 5 but they have big contracts and we can only afford players like hart and collins for the bench.

I don't see what the problem is.
Yes, the Jazz had a horrendous streak of horrible play. Part of it was mental. This team has alot of talent and may really have needed a good shaking to help them find some desire, find their chemistry and get a bit of a wake-up call.
The team took an ugly situation in the Sloan-Giri debacle and turned it into gold. Korver adds a new dimension to this team not only on thte court but in the locker room. He's played for a few years, is tired of losing and seems to be a really positive influence on some of the younger players so far. These intangibles can't be ignored.
The Jazz made a big move that hardly shook up the lineup that can be benificial now and in the future. On top of that, Larry Miller and some others in Jazz management have hinted that trade talk is not over this season.
We're not going to trade Carlos Boozer and Deron Williams for Lebron James. This team has struggled but is ON THE RISE, trust me. If any trades happen they will be cosmetic; we can't compromise somme of our major strengths just to cover up some weaknesses that can be worked out in other ways.

Dude, did you hear that the Jazz traded Gordon and a crap pick for Kyle Korver? Sertiously, did you hear about that? I know you mentioned it in this post, but I'm not sure it has sunk in yet...Da110n0rcutt wrote:Please tell me that we are not going to let the Hornets or the Magic get better then us...how many more teams that make big moves and win until we figure it out that what we have on our team (roster) as of 1/5/08 is just not going to cut it coming towards the end of this season (down the stretch) and come playoff time, even if we make the playoffs, the way other teams are playing and building their rosters I am beginning to doubt that we will because other teams are building for championships not runner-up (which we are famous for doing).
