LeBron James is the single most dominant player in the NBA. I am a Cavaliers fan, so it can be argued that I am biased, but let the record speak for itself: LeBron puts up numbers that no NBA player has managed since Oscar Robertson (the four game stretch of 30/12/11). He has put-up single game performances that hasn't been seen in 35 years (50 pts, 8 rb, 10ast). He is the youngest player to accomplish every feat, breaking records that Kobe previously held, a year earlier than Kobe.
Total dominance? LeBron James is 6'9 260 (according to him), he has played, and guarded EVERY position this season. What other player can claim that? Can any even claim 4 of the 5? He is the only SF I have seen back down Dwight Howard.
People say he doesn't play defense that well. I disagree. When the Cavaliers played the Lakers, who guarded Kobe in the 4th quarter - and shut him down? That's right, LeBron! And who guarded LeBron? Kobe. But did HE shut LeBron down? No.
I use Kobe Bryant here because he is the person that is considered the best scorer in the game... yet LeBron guarded him during crunch-time. If he can shut-down the default best scorer in the league, then how can anyone say he isn't a good defender?
Add to all of this that he turned 23 years old just a couple months ago, and how can anyone not be convinced that LeBron is the single most dominant force in the league?
People point to Kobe Bryant as the best scorer. And I cannot deny that his shot is prettier than LeBron's and he makes some seemingly magical shots. However, LeBron shoots a higher percentage than Kobe, and if he took less jump-shots and drove the lane more, his percentage would rise dramatically.
In conclusion, LeBron does things that not even Michael Jordan accomplished in his illustrious career; He has gone head-to-head with the best big men and the best guards in the league, yet always seems to come out on top. When he is in the All-Star game (every year), he is the guy that the coaches run their offense through. When LeBron is on the court, he is the MAIN focus of the opposing defense, regardless of who else in on his team. That, in itself say everything that needs to be said: LeBron is the best.

Hey, personally I like this thread, I like hearing what Jazz fans have to say about LeBron.
I do feel like he is the best player in the league right now, and has been for the past 2 years.
His numbers are seriously ridiculous and I am amazed there isn't more talk about him being the best right now. People are still all over Kobe, and dont get me wrong Kobe is great, but LeBron has already taken his team to the Finals and is putting up numbers that simply are unparalleled.
The guy is a freak and a pleasure to watch.

I was thinking about giving this guy crap for posting this same thread in EVERY SINGLE team forum, but what the hell.
I'm not sure what the obsession is with making sure everyone knows about your opinion, but maybe it will cool your jets that i agree for the most part. Lebron is not the "next Michael Jordan", simply because his game is completely unique and unparalleled. I think there may come a time when James is referred to as the greatest of all time, barring injury or a lack of championship rings. Plus, he isn't a cocky thug.

yeah, i like him too. hes young, smart (he knows about the history of the game in addition to how to play) and he's big. probably closer to the other mj than mike. that is magic johnson in regards to playing/dominating almost any position. however i still wouldnt cheer for him to have a good performance against my team. another team, perhaps, but not mine.
for an unoriginal thread flooded throughout the site about a great player on another good team i give a monty python style "yaaaay"

This is a good opportunity to make a point I consider to be a good one. Everyone is saying that LeBron is like MJ, or Magic, or Kobe or wtfever. I think the best comparison is one that I've never seen made before. He is like a hybrid of Magic and 'Nique. Seriously, his brand of power athleticism is so reminiscent of Wilkins it is short of shocking, yet his vision and passing ability are a lot like Magic's (though not as good). I'm surprised that I've never heard the comparison, but then its probably because Dominique is thought of as a "second-tier" legend by most, not on the same level as the greates of the greats, and thus wouldn't be good enough to compare the "next great thing" to. Still, I think its spot on.
But......wtf is up with posting this in every forum?
LeBron is good. OK.
