And then there's the fact that Larry Miller absolutely loves CJ, and bluntly stated he'd be an all star one day. Of course Larry says alot of things...
but realistically, when you look at Miles build, youth, and what he's done with his sparce playing time this year, you have to wonder if the Jazz would be making a mistake by letting him go.
If he's doesn't become solid enough to play the 3 when Harpring is gone (which i'm hoping is soon, not that that i'm a hater), then perhaps Korver could back up the three spot and CJ would back up Brewer.
I am worried about the jazz making salaries work though.

vainsake I beg to differ. I don't even see the point of him or Brewer playing on RMR other than just to keep practicing, pehaps a Williams-type of showing on it too.
CJ Miles has tremendous upside... It is so big that is scary. No, I ain't saying he is Kobe Bryant (although on the inside we all know he will be better), but I think he can be Stackhouse or Howard type of guy for our team. Also he plays big, he is used to rebounding, he has a big wingspan and can block shots and defend better than Mo. I hate to hate on Mo, cause I don't really hate him and this is very unfair of me to say it, but during garbage time, to go only .111 FG %, where in the world was his head at.
I can see CJ giving some challenge to Matt, and that is where I think he might earn his spot.

CJ will re-sign with the Jazz on something like a 3 yr/6-9mil deal. Take it to the bank. For a young kid like him to have come in and put all the work in with us, and only ever have done the right things, the things we asked him to do, you bet that he'll get a shot at making it big here.
While you can never fully account for what will happen once the crazy money starts flying around, you'll notice that we've seen a lot less of the over paying for marginal players type of deals the last couple of seasons. Teams are so afraid of the luxury tax that they simply don't do that type of thing so much. No, CJ will have interest, but not enough interest to garner a long-term, guaranteed contract with significant money. He will likely sign a shorter deal for relative peanuts, and hope that he gets a big-time payday the next time around, when he hits the unrestricted market.
CJ will be here next year, barring an Isaiah Thomas type offer from some other team.

It would be not wise to let CJ go. He's 21, he can play in this league, he got the chemistry with his team, he can shoot, he's athletic and he has huge room to grow, and it's not that Jazz game get down substantially when he's on court. Why would the Jazz want him going anywhere else? Miles' a keeper in Jazz brass mind's methinks.
Jazz brass would have to be thinking about Harpring knees (don't get me wrong, I really like Matt Harpring) about what to do with Hart and Collins and most of all, what they're gonna do with AK... because one of the big salaries must go in order to retain the others... remember Boozer and Okur contrtact talk are not THAT long away, not to mention Williams and Millsap...

Both CJ and Mo are horrible defenders. Mo is the better shooter, CJ is more athletic. CJ is futher along developmental wise. I think CJ wins out.
With that said, it's doubtful Jazz will offer CJ much more contract wise than Mo's rookie contract, just due to the need of resigning of DW/Sap, and the need to leave options open. I just don't see the Jazz putting that much money for something when you have a rookie contract in Mo that can take that 3rd string spot at the 2.
My bet, CJ gets a better offer elsewhere and Mo takes over behind Brew/KK.

Here is my only thing...we are gonna have Deron and Booz both making 13-15 mil per in the future. What we need are moderately priced role players, not 13 mil dollar role players like AK. I think it would be wise for the Jazz to resign CJ. To trade AK and I doubt Matt finishes out his contract, his knees are in really bad shape. Matt and AK are 20 mil in cap space.

I dont think CJ is a starter in this league (yet). His defense and decision making are still really bad, but he is getting better.
If we lose AK or Harp, sure I can see CJ getting a nice offer from the Jazz.
