10 best players 23 and under

Post#1 » by The Sheik » Tue Apr 1, 2008 8:57 pm

per ESPN:

1. Lebron
2. Dwight Howard
3. CP3
4. D-Will
5. Carmelo
6. Durant
7. Oden
8. Bynum
9. Roy
10. Monta Ellis

This was a roundtable of 13 ESPN writers.

Of them Ric Bucher and Jalen Rose had Deron over Paul.

As I mentioned in my post on this subject, many of these writers left Deron completely off their list. Nobody left off CP3. What a joke.

I think that the Top 5 was right, but the vote was just off.. Check out Thorpe's... It is just plain terrible.

I must say, the top 5 is right.

Let them hate all they want.

Everyone is going to choke on their own ***** sometime in the next 3 seasons, you watch.

Just because they work for ESPN doesn't mean they know ****.

Vote For williams, and put CP3 and LeBron James all the way to the bottom.

Propaganda!

Anyone who left Deron off that list is delusional. Greg Oden, who hasn't even played? Kevin Durant, the only offensive option they have in Seattle? Brandon Roy, a good, but clearly inferior PG? MONTA ELLIS? Seriously? I just... wow.

Word, some of those lists are really ridiculous. I'd say Deron's somewhere between 3 and 5 on the list, although, if Oden gets healthy and plays up to his potential, you'd have to push everybody except for LeBron and maybe Dwight down a spot.

BSPN is such a joke, especially their online writers. They all suck.

I didn't realize that Dwight is that young...

Yeah, I was put in the "corner" on the ESPN board because I posted on a thread about why they suck. Apparently, they don't care about what real fans have to say, but rather just love listening to themselves talk. What MTV is to music videos, ESPN is to sports.

Everyone keeps complaining about lack of respect for Deron in all the nation wide columns... but what everyone fails to see is this lack of respect is a good thing for us Jazz fans. It gives Deron a viable reason to carry that chip on his shoulder, which is what he needs to light that fire under our team.

... everyone thinks last season WCF apperence was a fluke, trust me guys.. .we'll have the last laugh.
Bye Bye Sloan, Good Riddance Deron. Hello new Era in Jazz Basketball.

BiggMann... We all like it when he is playing like he is mad and angry, but eventually recognition will come, and he will have to settle down. It is a very romanticized idea that just because he is ignored by national stuff that he will be better.

What I am afraid of is the lack of homecourt advatange.

The funniest one for me was for Michael Beasley. The guy is STILL in college for heck sake! How many players that were supposed to be great coming out of college flopped. It should have been based off of what you have done in the league up to that point. Not what might be. It's irrelevant when you add those guys in to the list.

Adam Morrison is supposed to be the next Larry Bird. So much for people pretending college numbers compared to NBA numbers.
