I was thinking the very same thing. And he always seems to do that at the worst possible time.

The Okur foul was not intentional, the ball was held high then took low, I think he was just late swatting at it high, plus Oberto was crouching down where his face usually isn't. I think the call in the game was good, flagrant 1. The other Spurs players knew it wasn't intentional, they weren't mad at all...
Plus look at his face right after, he was like "I can't believe that just happened". LOL it was actually kinda funny...

Word is, South Beach is ecstatic that they
won't be seeing Millsaps talents again this season...

I did prefer the team to lose in this game, not to find Spurs in the first round (as Spurs is not the right opponent for the Jazz), but the way that was achieved was quite disconcerting.
I don't really know who or what to blame. There was really no intelligent team play during the first half, the only part that I had watched carefully. Deron's injury might be one reason for that. Forced shots or awkward team plays were another reason. Of course, Spurs finding so many easy shots means a complete breakdown in the defense. Reminds me the game from last season. I think the players were playing with a heart, but, with a confused one on powerless bodies, often defending the wrong person, staying with one more than necessary, forgetting about the open one. Of course, when the game wasn't out of reach, not shooting when open was really frustrating. Would be better than stupid turnovers (at that part, I can only blame Sloan, he should have changed the lineup much early in the game, even Deron).

Well, that looked a lot like Game 5 of the series against the Spurs last year where we couldn't get anything going and they were hitting everything, but, frankly, I'd much rather play the Rockets than the Spurs in the first round. That being said, if we advance, unless the Nuggets pull off the upset, we will be playing the Lakers in the second round, so things could still be a lot better.
If Deron's hurt I hope he'll be better by the time the playoffs come around and if he's not, I hope he's able to forget about this game and get back to playing the way he played for most of the second half of the year.
Anyway, bad loss, but it's only something to get worked up about if it has a negative effect on the team's confidence or chemistry, which I don't think it will.

They jsut kicked our butts. That's what happened. I'm glad we don't have to play them in the 1st round. I'm afraid it'd just be more of that action.
Houston on the other hand? I love that matchup. Bring on Tracy 'The Guarantor' McGrady.

"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Totally agree. We got our asses kicked royally, further proof that we're not quite to the Lakers/Spurs tier yet, but we have no excuse not to beat Houston. This is a great match-up for us.
