Who's feeling lucky? Looks like me and Jazz71 are both bad luck now. Bat's the only one who's clean as far as Game Thread W/L ratio.

Koby?

Anyway, I admire the hustle and passion this team plays with. Really, it's great to watch. Sloan is one of my favorite coaches.

The best part of this game is the game thread. I could look at those ladies all day long.

And, I cant stand hubie brown. His commentary just makes me sick. Mabey I am still jaded about the year he got the COY when sloan lost again without any stars. I miss the former laker announcer. I cant remember his name, but he used to call stockton, little jonnie stockton. He was a funny old guy.

Have you read the laker game thread? They whined about fouls the whole game. I guess the lakers shooting 16 more free throws wasnt enough.

And what is up with the laker fans at the game. Ever notice that they had to pump in clapping sounds with the music?

It is pathetic that every call that appears to go against the lakers the cameras find Jack Nickolson. I dont care what he thinks, how about panning to the upset player. Or show a laker girl.

But all in all the lakers won the game and deserved the win. On to game two.

Did you all catch sloan punk phil jackson after the game?

In the post game comments, phil jackson said that he was sure kobe bryant would only get half of the free throws the next game due to the huge amount of freebees he got. The announcers were laughing saying that he was getting in his comments first before Utah could complain. Sloan went in and when he was asked only said that he had no problem with it, they were called and that is ok. Sloan took the high road and really made phil look foolish in my opinion.

Rick Adelman should of taken some lessons from sloan.

Where were Boozer and Williams today? D-Will looked lethargic and couldn't make a shot, while Boozer turned the ball over way too much and also seemed way too passive.

Both had decent stat lines, but I was disappointed with their play, especially in the first half.

Somebody should remind deron his last year's comments about some players not showing up to play. It was exactly the opposite for tonight. Boozer and Deron did not show up.

girly, decent statlines never tell 20% shooting by a point guard.

To be fair to Deron, he was being guarded half the time by the Laker's best player.

There is an odd typo on the Real GM wipetap.

It reads, "Utah's Brewer Excited To Guard Kobe."

Obviously it should read, "Laker's Kobe excited to be guarded by Brewer."

^^^ "... because he knows the refs will bail him out and send him to the line 20+ times in a game."

Did Deron come 1 asst and 1 reb away from a triple double? Yes. But he had a bad game. That combined with the fact that not one person on our team could make a wide open jumper should atleast tell you that this team can handle the Lakers because we were within 6 with 2 minutes to go.

Here's a hint, it's pretty difficult to go the line 23 times. To do that you have to be the aggressor on offense, and beat your defender consistently to draw those fouls. There was nothing wrong with the officiating tonight, Kobe Bryant is just that good. I implore one of the Utah players to get to the line 23 times in one night....in Utah....I highly recommend it.

I don't know if the Jazz can "Handle" the Lakers. They've lost 4 out of 5 to them this year, the Lakers controlled the entire game, never trailed once. The thing you seem to forget is that the Lakers will be making adjustments for game two just like Utah will. If anything, by now you should be well aware of the fact that the Lakers can "handle" the Jazz. CANT WAIT FOR GAME TWO.

The Jazz will be fine. And Deron played fine too. He just couldn't get anything to go down.

deron would have had 20 assists had we made more than 3 jumpers all night

That is actually not true.....the jazz did in fact have a 1 point lead on us early in the game for a bit. It is not of importance in the outcome of the game just wanted to point that out.

Anyone get tickets to game 3 or 4? They went on sale at 10 for those of us who don't have season tickets. I got two tickets to game 4, missed out on game 3. I'm a Laker fan living in Salt Lake by the way, usually there's quite a few Laker fans at the games I go to, I wonder if this will change in a Playoff game though.
