And the refs too.
I really don't think the refs have anything to do with our loss. I know the history Javie and Delaney are supposed to have with us , but last night was a typical game from a ref standpoint.
There was definitely an home court advantage , like there has been in every game so far (Fisher in foul trouble in the two games in utah).
Utah lost because Gasol and Odom dominated our inside duo.

Utah lost because booz failed to show up and because of terrible coaching decisions in the 4th.
I'm tired of seeing Korver close out the game. He has shown game after game that he doesn't bring anything to the floor but good FT shooting. I think you HAVE to finish Brewer, especially with how he was last night, 7-9 shooting in 23 minutes? It's hard to be much more efficient than that.
Sloan, throw the kid a bone man, you gotta reward that kinda play

My 2 cents.
I think The Jazz lost a huge, and when I say huge I mean, huuuuuge oportunity to steal one game there. Kobe wasnt being Kobe and we were down by only 1 with one minute left. Several times we got tied and we have never been able to take the lead, that hurts.
Our interior defense has been terrible. If Memo is really hurt, we are in trouble.
Boozer... oh boy.
I dont want to start thinking about the future now. We have a great chance to win game 6.
And I tell you guys, I am pretty confident that we can beat them in LA at game 7. We showed them that we have a chance. Again, we lost an oportunity to steal that one yesterday, but if we get a change to have a game 7, we are right there, baby.
Go Jazz !!

Props to the jazz fans that are NOT blaming this game on the refs
. EVERY GAME this series has been biased for the home team. EVERY GAME. It just so happens we have the home court against you. I expect the same things that happened in games 3 & 4 like multiple starters with 2 or 3 fouls in the first quarter to happen again once we come to utah.
Both of those games were winnable as was this game for you last night. Some see that your frontcourt hasnt played as well as you would have liked and the benches for both teams have been bad on the road.
To make things worse a few here want to use support from a BOSTON fans ( who hands were held by the refs while skipping just to get past atlanta
) and even more ridiculous a MIAMI fan
(whose team was given a damn championsh......... do I need to even re-hash this statement).
I have full respect for D Will, Kirilenko, and a newfound respent for the talent you have as a whole but please dont complain about having to suffer the same consequenses that BOTH teams face on the road especially when the team can play all out to where the refs bias dosent factor in as much.

Brewer scored efficiently yesterday , but Kobe wasn't even defending him. Kobe was sagging off him the whole game.
I've read several articles this morning and you could see things like :
"it was incredible the amount Bryant free-lanced off Brewer on the defensive end, by the way " (salt lake tribune).
Brewer's jumper was off yesterday (unlike in the previous games) and this would have made him a liability in the 4th. At least Korver , you can't leave him and he opened the floor for Boozer even though he is nothing amazing shooting wise in these playoffs... (i'm disappointed i gotta admit).
Lets not also forget that Korver is a smart defender , probably our more disciplined defender in transition. Brewer on the other end gets murdered routinely by Bryant (especially in the post).
I don't think Korver stole some minutes from Brewer last night.

The problem is not individual ability. Those guys have the skills to be on a championship when taken apart (even though Boozer is really a terrible defender). The problem is that we have a pathetic inside defense.
Okur and Boozer together = Pathetic defense. And since everything comes from the inside , it's a huge weakness in our game. If we had good interior defenders , i'm sure Brewer or Korver , or Ak would do a better job on Kobe for instance.
So this is what we need : a good defender inside. Somebody that can come in , block some shot , take the defensive rebound and first and foremost : help out guys defensively.
I questioned their toughness, not their skill. I know that Boozer has the skill to be an offensive force, but he's played like a little girl almost the entire playoffs. Memo's actually been pretty good in the playoffs, but you absolutely cannot give up position on big offensive rebounds like that in the playoffs and then except to flop and get a foul called on the road. I'm actually pretty happy with AK, but he's not the toughest guy either.

A quick thought on something we need to exploit in the next couple games. Brewer. He is just breaking Kobe down on defense when he is moving around a lot. He is shooting 55% against the Lakers!!! 55%!!!!!! I really think we need to focus on getting him the ball on the move like we did at the beginning of G5. He was single handedly keeping us in the game for a while with the dunks and layups, scored the first 8 points, first player to hit 10 points, and I think he could have kept doing it almost all game long. CJ could do the same, Korver is owned by the Lakers and shouldn't get many more minutes. It's obvious to me that we need more athleticism than jumpshooting.
I also think that the only player we need shooting a 3 in game 7 is Deron. He is shooting a staggering 50% from downtown against these Lakers, and Okur and Korver are just not hitting them. Get Okur pounding the hell out of Pau, and again, pretty much keep Korver on the bench until his pucker factor goes away.
And for God's sake, please PLEASE get physical with the Lakers! I didn't see Kobe his the floor once last night, when we all knew his back could be exploited with that. Pound Pau, knock Odom around, get them thinking about going inside. That is what we failed to do in G5 and it needed to be done.
Let's get game 6 and win this sucker in 7! GO JAZZ!!!

Word is, South Beach is ecstatic that they
won't be seeing Millsaps talents again this season...

Hey TROLL why don't you GTFO of our thread and bug your mom for some fruit snacks.
Bug my mom for some fruit snacks? aww really? coming from angry jazz fan, i would expect a better flame from you. tsk tsk.
I dunno how i possibly trolled when i didnt really bash your jazz team saying they suck or any of that bull. I honestly think your jazz team are a true championship team, but boozer is letting you guys down. I only talked about one play and it turns to a flame fest for you? give me a break and chill. We all knew game 5 was an important game for both sides and thats why it brang up so much drama, anger and relief.
