The Jazz actually CANNOT trade any of our picks prior to draft day, with limited exceptions. Those exceptions largely apply to getting another pick back.
2008 - we can't trade our pick this year because we might not have a pick in 2009 if our own gets transferred to Philly. We can trade it if we get a different 2008 pick, or UNPROTECTED 2009 pick from another team in return. Otherwise no go. (We can, of course, draft someone and then trade him.)
2009 - already owed to Philly. The next team pick we can trade has to be 2 years after this, so our next available pick for trade is 2011. (There are intricacies here which I won't bother to explain.)
Knicks' pick - there is a chance that this can be transferred to Philadelphia in the next two years if it's low enough. That means we can't trade it to anyone else.
