Sloan returning for a 21st season

Post#1 » by Fido » Wed Jun 4, 2008 8:08 pm

Deseret News ran an article today indicating that Sloan has committed to return next season for the final year of his current contract. There was no contract extention talk in the story at all other than he will be back for "at least" one more year.

Sorry--I know this is bad news for many of you. :)

This is his last chance. No worries.

As much as I hate Sloan's dinosaur 1950's Hoosier coaching methodology, I think it would be stupid to not bring him back just one more year.

I'm telling you guys, the end of next season, we will make big moves, have a new coach, but the same PG that is for sure.

As much as I hate Sloan, he's our best option. I mean, if he leaves who do we have? Corbin? Layden? Horny? I doubt that any of those coaches could bring us 40+ wins.
