Bos-Utah trade offer
First off, I come in peace. If you don't like this offer, that's cool, if you could give me a gauge of how far off you think it is.
Rajon Rondo/Kendrick Perkins
for
Deron Williams
Is this close? You guys could use an inside presence like Perkins on defense and Rondo has a pretty high ceiling (with some realized talent already displayed in the playoffs).
I realize Deron is a great player, obviously why I would want to the guy.

So you want our best player (one of the best young players in the whole league) for your 4th and 7th best players?
There are maybe 3 guys in the league that I would consider giving up Deron for, and none of them are on Boston, and none of them are named "Rajon" or "Kendrick". There's simply no chance of a deal here.

Jarron Collins/Jason Hart
for
Paul Pierce
Having a guy like Jason Collins really helps out the lockerroom, brings a calming influence to some of your young guys, and is good at drawing fouls. Jason Hart is a great back up for Rondo.
Could you maybe throw in a first rounder for us too?

If the salaries matched, I would be willing to trade Williams for Garnett, Pierce and Allen. However, the only two players in the league I would seriously consider trading Williams for straight up are Dwight Howard and LeBron James. Guys like Kobe, KG and Duncan are too much older than Deron, Wade is too injury prone, and Paul, while he is arguably better than Deron, would be a much worse fit for the Jazz. Rondo and Perkins wouldn't even come close to doing the trick. A comparable trade would be the Jazz giving up Ronnie Brewer and Paul Millsap for LeBron.

Jazz fans feel that Deron is a top 3 point guard.
I don't think that Jazz fans would trade Deron straight up for Garnett/Pierce/Allen.
Dude I'm not even a Jazz fan...but Deron is a top 5 PG in this league easy...and he's not even in his prime yet.

Yes!!! lets trade a 23 yr old All NBA 2nd team PG and perhaps the best PG in the league alongCP3 for 2 players that are overhyped because of who they play around.
Do you think Perkins is a quality starting C if he didnt have KG and PP in the frontcourt taking away pressure from him?
What part of your brain makes you think that Rajon Rondo could play for Sloan?
These 2 guys are a product of playing around 3 potential HOF'rs, put them on any other team this yr and they wouldnt even be topics of discussion.
As for how far off this is...Its way ****in off...like not even 20% there yet.
hahahaha this made my whole off-season. Please, please sticky this.

The Jazz will NEVER trade Deron, as long as he plays the way he has thus far. I wouldn't take any player in the league and give up DWill. Absolutely not. Rondo is a very overrated PG, not even a top 10 IMO. If this is a joke, then you got the joke of the day...
Honestly, I'm not sure why Boston would even be thinking about trades right now...

Word is, South Beach is ecstatic that they
won't be seeing Millsaps talents again this season...

I think its a great deal. We then trade rondo to Cleveland for James, and Kendrick for Kobe, and a second round pick for Tim Duncan. Then we are only week in the PG spot. We could package Hart with Collins like previously suggested to get CP3.
Think of the lineup:
Okur, Fes
Duncan, Boozer, Millsap
Bron, AK47, CJ, Harpring
Kobe, Brewer, Korver, Almond
CP3, Price
The only problem I see is trying to get Sloan to limit Harprings minutes...

Throw in Keith Van Horn and Aaron McKie, and you've got a deal.
I feel a little bad here, in all seriousness. The guy didn't come in to talk ****. He really just believed this to be a reasonable offer.
Let me put it to you plainly (and politely if I can)...
This would make the Pau Gasol trade look like the most equitable transaction in sports history. Kendrick Perkins is filler at best. That leaves us with: Rajon Rondo for Deron Williams straight up.
Seriously, man?
Why in the world would we accept a decent young PG for a Top-2 PG/Top-10 player?
RONDO: 10.6 PPG, 5.1 APG, 4.2 RBG, 49% FG, 26% 3PT, 61% FT
DERON: 18.8 PPG, 10.5 APG, 3 RBG, 51% FG, 40% 3PT, 80% FT
So, we're giving up our dynamic playmaker -- who is an excellent distributor, scorer, ball-handler, and shooter, and a tough, competent defender -- for a guy who's pretty quick, plays good defense, and bricks 40% of his free throws?
I will not take Green Rape for Perk. I will not take it down on the box. I will not endure our every loss. I will not get off the Deron train, to have K-Perk weigh down the team plane. I will not take Green Rape for Perk...
