Well Foster is also expiring, so the deal is win win IMO. The "sugar on top" either way I think is fair enough value for Foster. I dont like giving up a 1st rd pick for him, but he is one of the best offensive rebounding bigs in the league. Bird has a hummer for Almond, if we make this deal he will be involved somehow.
The downside to this trade is that he has a yr left and then after that he will command near full MLE money. Where as someone we drafted would be under contract for 4yrs at 1.2 mil per.
Good point. I guess we'd find out over the course of the year if he was worth the MLE in this system. I'd be inclined to believe he would be. It would be a shame to part with Morris, though, before we've seen what he's got.
