You know, that reminds me......how does KOC not get mad props for actually getting a first round pick in return for the pile of **** also known as Carlos Arroyo? I mean, seriously, how isn't there a statue in front of ESA to commemorate such an achievement? And, not just that, he fleeced Joe D--maybe the best in the business--in the process. And that 1st rounder was crucial in a trade up that netted us our franchise point guard.

It boggles the mind.

I agree that boozer is limited, but when you can time his speed in running to contest a jumpshooter on the perimeter with a sun dial, you can't help but questions the man's commitment to defense. Memo is a below average defender, but at least the effort is there. I get tired of boozer making one game superstars out of players like fabricio oberto and drew gooden. I also wonder how one can demonstrate great foot work on offense, and then look like a seven year old on defense. The fact is, I think we all agree he is capable of better production on the defensive end of the court.

I highly doubt we make any major moves this offseason. I could see KOC and LHM come back with the same squad and make another attempted run at a 'Ship'.... just like they've done since the early 90's. It takes serious gumption to pull off a trade involving a Max player like AK or Boozer, and i just dont think they are that desperate for a championship. I understand the everyone plays to win it all, but the fact of the matter is that the Utah Jazz do not produce money unless they are winning games and bringing fans to the arena, and by trading Boozer there is a very good chance we become a lesser team (depending on who we get in return) when it's all said and done. Sure Boozer is a liability on the defensive end of the floor, but the dude is a flat out presence on the other side of the court... I know we've got enough fire power to score points, but who runs the PnR, who's our low post player that's needed for Sloans Flex offense? AK? no Okur? no, better equiped outside. Milsap? maybe, but certainly not to the level of Boozer. So one thing to consider when talking Boozer Trades, is does it make us a better team overall?

I've been a big supporter of the Boozer for #2 pick, because i think that Beasley has enough talent to be successful with Deron feeding him the rock.... but I really dont see Miami going for that, considering Boozers contract situation in contrast to where he calls home.
Bye Bye Sloan, Good Riddance Deron. Hello new Era in Jazz Basketball.

I dont see it happening anymore now that Marion wont opt out. Now they can go to a teams and offer Marion for a PF and then trade down and get Mayo. Or let Marion expire and take a crack at Brand or Boozer.

Fair enough, sir. I tend to get riled up too during games... even at Harpring sometimes, despite my reputation as a Harp apologist. Anyone remember that inbound pass that sailed into the stands against Miami down 1 with the ball and 15 seconds left?

Getting riled up is a good thing though, nothing like getting together with your buddies and screaming at the TV, lol. I think whats great on this board is that people disagree so vehemently about different topics, it just shows that these fans really care about the team (and care very little for each other :D ). I do agree with you though that it does seem that on occasion boozer does "coast" on defense.
