Howard, Bosh

If Bosh is really going to play then team USA made a big mistake, cause he's a small body for center. I mean between the power fowards and centers you only have 3, and only one legit body for center, while 3 SFs, 3 SGs, and 3 PGs? Um, what were they thinking?

The reason why bosh can play both center and pf in the olympics, is because the international game is less physical, it is more geared toward players who are mobile. Bosh is athletic for his size, making him a good match up for the international centers. I am a fan of Bosh, he doesn't get the recognition he deserves. He is definitely one of the most underrated players in the league.

Bosh will be fine. GP is right about the finesse-heavy international style. Out of curiosity, who would you prefer went in his stead, MK?

It's pretty cool that the Jazz are the only team with 2 players on team USA. I think it will be great experience for Deron and Booz. I know it may tire them out a little, but in the long run of next season they will be fine.

I know Andre will be playing for Russia, does anyone know if Memo is playing for Turkey?

I dont see Deron getting fatigued, but Boozer ya sure he'll probably sit out for a stretch of games in December with a pulled vagina. But that's okay, I agreee with Dingo... the Jazz are representing to the fullest, and this is only going to help push Boozer and Deron to get better... playing against the best in the world, and playing for your country will only help them become better basketball players.

Wonder if Boozers D will be exposed.. He'll definitly have to play a few minutes at the 5, which could equal trouble for the interior defense.

Kidd/Paul/Deron
Kobe/Wade/Redd
Bron/Prince
Melo/Boozer
Howard/Bosh

Coach K said that'll be the Starting line up they'll be going with.
Bye Bye Sloan, Good Riddance Deron. Hello new Era in Jazz Basketball.

No, Turkey did not make the upcoming qualifying tourney.

Turkey didn't qualify and Memo was left off the team because of a back problem.

Jason Kidd will get the starting job but Paul and Williams will play more minutes than Kidd, especially in the 4th quarter when Kidd's shooting % will be a question mark.

Let me ask you guys, from an unbiased perspective who would you want running team USA's offense in the 4th quarter.

Jason Kidd
Deron Williams
Chris Paul

Considering the talent that is around them, Deron makes the most sense. He's best at spreading the floor, and hitting open shots.

Paul is probably a better creator off the dribble, but that won't be important with Kobe, LeBron and Carmelo on the floor. Kidd is probably the best defender of them, but it isn't a big deal anymore.

Deron's ability to spread the floor, hit big shots, and play a secondary role should give him the closing spot.

Not any more. Deron is far and away the best man-on-man defender of the three, though Chris Paul is better at being opportunistic and getting steals.

This is a Jazz forum, did you honestly think we'd say anybody besides Deron.

With the talent surrounding the PG slot, I'll take Kidd for the first three quarters and Deron in the 4th.

If the NBA ran the team CP would play every minute. i think Coach K will appreciate Derons game more and let him play more minutes. Boozer is definetly gonna be playing alot because of the lack of size on the roster.

Deron will be huge for this team, i can feel it. i cant wait for the olympic games.

quick questing, how are the games played, 4 12 minute quarters or 2 20 minute halves?

i think that Booz and D-will both being on this team will help the Jazz out next year! The more time the are together the better!I heard that they are focussing on defence on this team so hopefully that helps Booz out! They have coaches just to work on playing a zone and breaking a zone!I see D-will become better all around ball players this summer!
This coming from a guy who said that we were Finals bond after the Arroyo age a couple years ago with that US upset!I got a little carried away!
