I will have no problem with Boozer if he decides to opt out. Its his right, according to his contract. I will, however, have a problem with the Jazz front office if they let him get away without getting anything in return. I think they are nuts if they aren't at least exploring a trade involving Booz.

Did the OP really say to move Boozer based on 5% probability he opts out in 2009-10?

I would say OP is a 8 year old 'special' person from Randolph.

Jazz won't gamble. Sign Sap a good contract and he might just fill Booze's shoes in 2010.

I would say that there is a 95% probability that he does opt that. That isn't the hard part. It is knowing what he is going to do after he opts out that is worries me.

Read that title out loud to yourself.

Doesnt seem like it was written by a 4 year old Korean boy?

Uhhhhhh. What?

Holy run-on sentence Batman!

Seriously, Okafor would be pretty good, but what are you proposing? That the Jazz trade Boozer for Okafor?

If we can get anything close to boozer's production, I personally feel we would be a much better team. I would even go as far as saying that we would be a better team with someone who averages 10 points less a game than boozer, but actually plays defense (chandler, camby, okafur, etc). The Jazz have enough depth that scoring can be replaced. Milsap could possibly play a few more minutes, and kirelinko could play the four where he is more effective defensively. That being said, Boozer needs to be moved immediately so we can get something in return. I like okafur, but he is injury prone. I do like kaman, and think he would do well in this system. I think if a trade is in the works, management should trade boozer for an effective center.

Maybe this has been mentioned and I missed it, but why isn't Elton Brand being ripped up and down for his deal? Is he not doing the exact same thing to the Clips? Now, yes it is the Clippers and no one ever stays there, but still, he has a "verbal" agreement then bolts. When Boozer did it, Clevland went nuts and Booze and the Jazz still carry that snake of a reputation, but Brand is in the process of doing it and no one is saying anything.

What's worse is you can make a strong argument that Booze was being lowballed by Clevland. He left for a ton more money, what's Brand's contract in Philly, like a million more?-

I was refering more to the national aspect, rather than just the forum. In 04' does anyone remeber articles like this:

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/columns/s ... d=tab1pos1

"Brand did what 99.9 percent of all players would do: Choose more money and a better chance to win."

Seems awful nice when compared to the filth Boozer was drug through...

The difference is that Cleveland had to renounce Boozer; they assert that they were "tricked" into doing it.

Everything was always in Brand's hands with the opt-out.

Different situations, for sure, even though I think the Cleveland whining is all bull.
