J.A. Adande on Dee Brown

Post#1 » by DWillBooz467 » Mon Jul 21, 2008 6:36 pm

I know Dee's long gone but I think he's still fresh in our minds enough to post. This was actually good. And that's saying something for Adande. It talks a lot about his relationship with Deron.

This is a nice read. Dee's just such a likable guy and, IMO, a better player than a lot of people give him credit for. I really think he has a place in this league. I'm definitely pulling for him.

I think he'll be perfect in Washington. Good for you Dee. maybe one day we'll bring you back and correct the mistake of signing Hart.

I don't think they were patient enough with Dee Brown! He would not have been a star or anything but he would have been happy to stay here with D-Will!I loved watching them in college and it was amazing to see them together on the jazz I hope it happens again some day!

I would sign Dee as 3rd string PG. We are not going to be able to afford the luxuries of 2.5 millilon dollar man Jason Hart in 2010.

Seriously... i'd much rather have Dee on the bench cheering us on for 1mil, than Hart doing the same for 2.5mil

I don't believe our reason for not re-signing Dee was his level of play but rather a comment from LHM that was something to the effect of "Dee being a bad influence off the court on Deron". Someone please refresh my memory as to LHM's comment and how big of an impact it made on the decision not to bring back Dee.

No, actually our reason for not resigning Dee was because he didn't sign the qualifying offer that was tendered to him. I know there's alot of Dee love on the boards, and that's fine, but the Jazz FO has nothing to do with him not being here. The Jazz wanted him back, extended the QO, and he made a bonehead move. Luckily for him, he ended up getting another shot at playing in the league, but either way... Dee would've been here if it hadn't been for Dee.

If I recall correctly, since he was a second-rounder, it wouldn't have been a guaranteed contract, had he signed the QO tendered to him. He made the decision that he didn't want to sign any contract that wasn't guaranteed. One can make of that what they will, I suppose.
