Let's not start talking down on DWill, not only will you get no support from other fans, but you may make some enemies. :)

As for AK, is he held at a different level than some other players on the team? YES! Is it fair? YES!

Bottom line is, in any organization, responsibilities and expectations increase when your status raises within that organization. Generally speaking, status is defined by the salary earned by the individual.

AK is the highest paid player on our team. Of course everybody would be singing his praise if he earned the MLE, but he's not. It wouldn't be fair to anyone to judge AK as a MLE player. Even at $10-12M, AK wouldn't be getting nearly the grief he is now. But that came with the duty when he negotiated that contract.

If a CEO was hired, and he didn't improve the companies financial statements, that CEO would be fired. AK is the highest paid player on the Jazz, and I strongly doubt he would be willing to take a 1/3rd pay cut to stay with the Jazz at the end of his contract.

And to be fair, I personally will hold Deron Williams to that same high standard with his new contract extension. Carlos Boozer is heavily debated, but at his current contract level, I think he's a bargain. Come time to negotiate, if he demands and gets a max contract from the Jazz, he'll be held to that same high level. If he doesn't improve his defense at all, he'll be the target for many complaints as well.

Bottom line, it comes with the territory. He knew it, he willingly accepted it, and now he has to face accountability for that.
