OT: Washington was robbed

Robbed.

That was a bull call, I am absolutely flabbergasted that the official made that call.

Washington was cheated.

In case you have no idea what Im talking about...

UW QB Jake Locker scrambles for a TD with 2 seconds left to make the score 27-28 BYU.

He tossed the ball over his shoulder and celebrated with his teammates(on the field) and the ref called an excessive celebration penalty for him tossing the ball over his shoulder.

15 yrd penalty.

and in an always recurring BYU play they block another PAT to win a game.

They probably weren't gonna win in OT, and the kicker still needed to make the kick, but he was robbed of a normal PAT.

That was no doubt a horrible call, but it wouldnt have ever happened had they made the many holding calls that should have been made on that last drive. Ian Dulan was ridden like no horse ever has been and it wasnt called once.

yeah most likely but the extra point from 35 yards out was still very makeable and they still should've made that.

BYU blocked a fg against UCLA not extra point, I think at least.

It was the ref's fault (who were PAC-10 officials) that made the horrible call. It had nothing to do with BYU.

Well, if BYU can suck and sneak up the ratings all the better for when Utah whoops their butts.

I thought Real Salt Lake got robbed tonight of the goal by Espindola. That is a lot worst than what happened with Washington.

Good grief. Go enjoy your hateraid. Despite Fox's and ESPN's histrionics, the call was appropriate. Tossing the ball like Locker did will get you an excessive penalty almost every time. I agree its a stupid rule, but its still a rule. BYU has been nailed by that dumb rule many, many times, so I'm certainly not going to complain that it finally got called on someone else.

Anyone who thinks Washington got robbed, though, is forgetting one key fact: the celebration penalty was the FIRST PENALTY that was called on the Huskies ALL DAY! If anything, that was a Karma call for all the gifts (especially on that last drive) that the refs gave Washington.

BYU's defense was atrocious, but they were still the better team, so saying that Washington was robbed, especially when BYU (not the refs) blocked that extra point, is just hater-talk at its finest.

Ok Bronco. Justify the penalty call because you "didnt get any calls." The truth is the only excessive celebration in that entire game was the entire BYU team running on the field with 2 seconds left, unfortunately Washington cant get another kick for that. The truth is you escaped a bottom cellar pac-10 team that will struggle to win 4 games. See when you go for the Hawaii method of making the BCS you're suppose to smash everyone, not beat the 8th best team in the pac10 by 1.

Only a conservative pos like you would think that call was appropriate. Washington needed to make the PAT and probably would have lost in OT, but to call that appropriate makes you look dumber then anyone else on this board.

Enjoy the free publicity BYU got on ESPN, maybe someday they get Dennis "Pitas" names right.

A PAC-10 kicker should still have no problem making a 35 yard fg. That penalty didn't decide the game... sure it was a little on the unfair side but in the end they still had a chance to tie the game and couldn't.
