But if you say if I want to trade him for Lebron, Kobe, Howard or Wade I would do it with closed eyes.
Then there's a few player who are maybe better but they are too old to trade for them (Duncan, Garnett)
Then, there's the Paul case... Right now Paul is better, but I still don't trade him for Deron.

I think that's probably the consensus view of Deron right now from Jazz fans.

If you ever get the chance to pickup proven guys like LeBron, Kobe and Wade you do whatever you can to get them. And Howard's potential is just too high with how much he's already shown to pass on.

The rest of the guys however are on the second halves of their career and the franchise would be better off to keep Deron.

As for Paul he's clearly been the best PG in the NBA this year and last, but like you said I wouldn't trade Deron for him. I just don't see his drive to win being as strong as Deron's, and Deron has always been money in the playoffs.

KARL'S BALLOT

Of the seven reserves on Karl's ballot for the West All-Star team, six made it. The only one not picked by Karl who made it was Billups, and Karl couldn't pick his own players.

Karl voted for center Shaquille O'Neal, forwards Pau Gasol, Dirk Nowitzki and David West and guards Tony Parker, Brandon Roy and Deron Williams, with only Williams not making it.

I was kind of surprised to see Karl put Deron on his ballot, but he did. He also voted for West, which I disagree with, that vote should have gone to AJ IMO.

Who's this guy noone, and does he come out around 12 O'clock?

Also, is the color blue?

Obviously D-Will passes to Millsap, Brewer, Ak and Memo equally, so I'm sure you're not an idiot who's claiming skin color instead of uniform color.

Then, again, you do sound stupid, so I'm not really certain.

We all still know that he's right around a top 5 player still, and I am happy as hell to have him. Other then Kobe, LeBron and Wade, there probably isn't anyone I would select for the Jazz to build a team around.

Deron FTMFW!!!

umm.. i like Deron.. but umm.. he is NOT a top 5 player.. if you wanna say top 5 PG.. THATS FOR SURE.. but player??!! NAh

Umm, like... umm, hmm... umm.

GTFO.

LeBron, Kobe, Duncan, Wade, Paul, Howard...

Then who? Maybe KG?

1. Do you realize that he claimed Deron Williams was not a top 5 player, and in refuting his comment, you just named the top 6 players in the game?

2. LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Dwayne Wade, Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Brandon Roy, Gilbert Arenas, Kevin Durant, Amare Stoudemire, Joe Johnson are all ARGUABLY more effective as a player than Deron Williams. Not saying that all of them are, but people can argue than if replaced with Deron Williams on the Jazz, they could be as good, or better.

Gilbert Arenas? Please, play a game within 2 years, then talk.
Deron is a beast. Just got done watching him in person and he gives us way more fits than Paul. They are 1 and 1a imo. I had Deron on my All Star team.

King, Kobe, Howard, and Garnett are awesome.

CP3 gets his ass kicked 9 out of 10 times he goes up against D-Will, but he's still more successful in this league. I still take Deron 10 outa 10 times. KMA narlins. Brandon Roy >>>>>>>>CP3

Gilbert? You gotta be kidding. Let me know when Wizard fans think he plays for their team.

Durant? Good, but couldn't hold Deron's jock on his best day.

Amare? What's the Suns's record now days?

Joe Johnson? Dudes's completely awesome and underrated, but I still take Deron.

Western Conference point guard selection was fair. Paul, Billups, Parker clearly deserve the call this season. Williams is a great player, but he has not arrived to the point where he can consistently take care and close games night in night out.

Let's face it: while the stats are there, DW's bball IQ has clearly regressed after the injury. He's neither calling the right plays nor making good decisions.
even beethoven had his critics. name three of them.

I don't know if this season version of Williams is top 5 PG or whatever (top 3 he's not IMHO)... What I do know is that I'd not trade him for Howard or Wade...
About Williams numbers, he'd probably be the NBA assist leader if Boozer were out there playing... he would have 13+ assist per game average. His numbers ARE All-Star numbers, but his game is not yet.
This year Paul has been better, Parker is playing his usual deserving game, and Billups has completely changed the Western Conference picture.
