What is Kosta's Value right now in the NBA?

He's been a bit of surprise to me, do you think he has high value for other teams gm's? Do you think just on his play thus far he wouldve gotten drafted higher than 23 if the draft was redone today?

He probably has more value to the Jazz, as other teams would likely consider him a "secret throw in", IE a player who people don't know but go on to be productive. I see him as a player Utah will really put effort into developing, like CJ.

Just like Delaney said, he's far more valuable to the Jazz as a player then he would be in any trade he was in.

Young players, once drafted and put into a system, become nearly impossible to attach a value to. There is a period of about a year to a year and a half before they establish anything close to a "market value", unless they are busts and just need to be dealt right away for anything the team can get. A good example was the Gooden/Miller trade. It happened two months into Gooden's rookie year, and was Jerry West's admittance that he whiffed on the pick, but he was still able to salvage a good player in return. Something similar happened with Chauncey Billups in Boston.

So its hard to say. I think if the Jazz shopped him, they could probably get a heavily protected 1st out of it, but I doubt anything more than that.

The Jazz, meanwhile, probably wouldn't trade him for anything less than a lottery pick. And maybe it would have to be a mid-to-high lottery pick in a draft like this year's is shaping up to be. I don't know. Its really hard to say, but there is no way he gets moved unless a blockbuster deal comes along, like other posters have said. The dude is a legit 7 footer with skill and athleticism who is also willing to work his ass off and bang bodies. Tell me how many guys like that have busted in the NBA without a serious injury being involved.

I think that other gm's would have a fairly accurate judgement on him but people on here would be off.

Like others have said it would be best for the jazz to keep him in most circumstances.

He's 19, he's already a pretty good defensive and offensive center, what would be the logic in trying to get rid of him now? At best we'd get a future (protected) first, an over the hill veteran, or another rookie in exchange, and most likely not one of the more productive centers. Best thing is to hold on to him, if not who else do we have left behind Okur? Fesenko? Meh, he's been around longer, and is half as good right now.

Not much IMO. No team is going to trade for him expecting him to be in their rotation. He is nothing more than a deal sweetener right now. I may be able to land a late 1st like Thabo Sefolosha.
