Deron Williams crosses over Marco Belinelli 5 times...

Post#1 » by carrottop12 » Wed Mar 4, 2009 10:14 am

...in one play!

This game was on a Sunday so a lot of you probably missed it, but check this out. Might be Deron's funniest move of the season, he's obviously just toying with Marco.

Yeah, my son and I were crowing about it when it happened. It was a shame that he didn't actually score on the play, but it was a nice dish to Okur at the horn. I was a little afraid that Okur's foot was on the inbounds line, but it looked good.

Wouldn't be too surprised to see Belinelli's next line; DNP - dual broken ankles... :)

In all honesty, I thought Belinelli guarded it pretty well. It is not like he ended up on his butt.

Yeah, I didn't think he embarassed Belinelli at all.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Belinelli may have stayed in front of him, but he was obviously reeling. Deron could have had his little step back J at any time and it would have been wide, wide open, but he just wasn't feeling his jumper during that game, so he was basically crossing Marco over until someone came free for a shot.

It was just a plain sickening display of contempt for his defender. He was basically saying "I will do whateva I want"

Deron could have ran around him on any one of the crossovers, but he just chose to keep toying with him. The thing I love about Deron though was in the end he still made the right play instead of jacking up a bad shot, he found the open man, and got the dime.

I was laughing so hard when I saw that during the game. Yet another victim of Deron's Killer Crossover!

I loved thecomments about it in the Yahoo.com Power Rankings...

Motion sickness is a very common disturbance of the inner ear that is caused by repeated motion such as from the swell of the sea, the movement of a car, the motion of a plane in turbulent air or Deron Williams' making a fool of Marco Belinelli.

Bellinelli stayed in front but the move was good enough for Deron to penetrate the warriors defense and get Randolph's notice which freed up Memo for a good look just before the buzzer.
