13.5 PPG, 44% shooting since this nobody returned.

I hope he doesn't opt out then the Jazz trade his ass to the worst team in the league.

Forget this fool, and he appears to be getting worse.

Yeh and what's his excuse? It's been over a month since he stepped back on the floor
So he really doesn't have the injury as an excuse any more

Is it the family problems back home?
Is it your playoff failures of last season that are still in your head?

tell me carlos, what is wrong with you??

When you don't play defense, you better damn well dominate the offensive end of the floor.

When you aren't doing that, what value are you?

The funny thing is that his hands are the thing that is hurting him right now, it's not even his legs. He's blown so many easy points from not catching the ball, that leads to turnovers. He just doesn't seem that effective in the poster right now at all either.

+1. I have lost count of how many times I've seen a guard going for a layup and Boozer either stand there watching or giving him a weak and one. It's not enough that he's a horrible defender one on one, he's also non existant on help defense. This stretch of games has been so **** frustrating.

Boozer has sucked lately. But, what the hell has Okur been doing recently? As much as everyone bags on boozer's defense, Okur is just as bad if not worse.

Also, he's shot 8-27 in the last 3 games. I figured his numbers might go down a bit now that he isn't playing as much, but he's pretty much disappeared recently.

I think his excuse is probably his Marriage going to **** and his son having Sickle cell.

I could imagine having your wife bitch you out nonstop about living in Utah, while watching you team mate Derek Fisher go to play somewhere so his daughter can get treatment.

His son has been cured of sickle cell for nearly a year now, and the problems with Cece have been going on for well over a year, so that excuse is bull****.

He's sucking balls, he's not taking it strong to the hoop, and he's getting owned by anyone who has any sort of shot blocking ability.

I have really tried to avoid bagging on Boozer in the past, but in these situations, when he is showing he has almost no positive effect on the floor, bench his dumb ass.

Okur's not very good defense player either, but he TRIES, and he got not a quarter of "the thing" physical tools...

What does that have to do with anything? His shooting has sucked and his ft shooting too. I'm looking at his stats the last 3 games(all losses) and they plain suck. Even worse then boozers IMO. He doesn't block shots and doesn't play defense, so what is he doing for the Jazz? If you are going to call Boozer out for shooting 40%, call Okur out for his 30% shooting. I didn't take the time to look at the centers in the east, but Okur has the lowest avg for blocked shots here in the west for playoff teams(possibly for all teams). Okur is all offense, and he hasn't been doing that in this stretch.

Edited to add:
I'm not excusing the terrible game he just barely had which is why I'm guessing this thread was made. I haven't seen one when Okur does something similar though. I'm not against trading either one of these guys, but lots of people seem to be in love with Okur and act like he does no wrong.

And.....Okur is killing the hornets now. I just don't get how he can be so inconsistent.

Okur will always be a shooter that can stretch the D
He'll never been a defensive player, mainly because he doesn't have the athleticism for it

Booze on the other hand before his injury was one of the more athletic power forwards, and has great size. he has the body and talent to be a great defender he just chooses not to

Return to Utah Jazz
