A lot of teams will "leak" things about Boozer during this series and before the draft to encourage his ass to opt out so the Jazz don't get something back in a trade. Pretty simple.

Has anyone thought about what the team is going to do if they actually stick with Boozer? I mean we all want him gone since he has come back but before his (and everyone else) injuries it felt like this team was going to be crazy good. I can see management sticking to their guns and keeping everyone on board for another year or two and seeing how things play out. Its not really their style to pull off blockbuster trades or to make major changes to the core of the team. I think if the team was doing well management would sign everyone and take the money hit for a couple years till AK's contract is up. I for one am not so convinced that KOC and Jazz management are going to make the changes we all want to see.

How many people said this during the 2003-04 season after a very underwhelming team went 42-40 and missed the playoffs by all of one game.

Don't be at all surprised to see the Jazz be real contenders in the trade market. They know they have items of value, and they also realize they need to keep a good product on the floor. This team will do what it has to in order to keep winning, they won't let themselves become mediocre.

It would be very very foolish of Utah to keep this team in tact. You could say I was overreacting, but honestly this is why I wanted to blow the team up last season. Every year we wait to semi-rebuild is another year of Derons prime we waste.

3 yrs together.
3 seasons of not winning on the road.
Our rebound rate declining
Our defense declining

Stupidest thing this franchise did is not trade AK for Marion or cap relief and not move Boozer when he had value. The poster before Bat has a point about the conservative nature of the Jazz and honestly if that doesnt change we will never win a title here. The deal is that elite FA wont come here, maybe now they will with Deron, but we need to draft them. We have had chances to make moves for these players and we havent been aggressive about it. Ronnie Brewer is great, but with Brandon Roy sitting there on the board at 7 or 8 you need to do whatever is necessary to trade up for him. Utah wants to be a team that proves people wrong by drafting Gems like Lopez, Borthchardt etc. They one time they were aggressive is because they desperately needed a PG. The franchise culture needs a dramatic change. We are stuck in the 80s as far as philosophy goes.
