My guess is Knight is gone for sure over Price. As much as the Jazz have taken Knight over Price, his age makes him the obvious choice to let go and the fact that it doesn't look like he will last for another 82 game season.
In that case I think the Jazz will want to have a back up, even if it is a third stringer who knows how to run the system in case something happens to either Deron or the #2 PG so they re up Price for another low contract.
Also I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the Jazz are down around 13 people going into next season and have a couple of open roster spots if they bring Almond back. He won't cost anything, he's been working in the system for two years and he can hit jump shots which the Jazz are struggling with right now. I think the Jazz didn't pick up his option because they realized he would come cheap regardless.
In addition one of the three of Memo, Boozer or Millsap will be gone by next season. Numbers just show the Jazz can't hold on to all of them, so there is another roster spot, and I really wouldn't be shocked at all if Matty calls it a career. He just can't play anymore and he knows it. He could probably negotiate a pretty good buy out that the Jazz I would assume would honor. My guess is either he or Collins will not be on the team next season.
That could leave a possibility of anywhere from 1-4 roster spots being open this off season.

Re: Gortat & Jazz
For starters, if Utah got Gortat in the offseason, then they wouldn't need Okur anymore. And he sure as hell wouldn't be Utah's 4th big man, he would be a starter. The guy WILL be an all-star someday, mark my words. This team would be a hell of a lot better off trading off Boozer, Okur, AK, and Miles in the offseason and get some people in here that have heart, and aren't scared of their own shadows. You really want this guy to be our starter next year? He's a coward, and he has not heart...

I really want Okur in my team, but I can understand he could be expendable if the Jazz get the right piece for him...
In the same vein, I really can't stand Boozer, but I think he would be huge playing with a classical D-minded center clogging the paint on D and forcing big rivals to guard him close in the other end...
