Your points are legitimate ones, and such issues should limit his contract a little bit... I have doubts even about 7 millions per year, talent-wise speaking...
However, I'd offer 37.5 to 40 M for 5 years to retain him if he gets such an offer sheet, because his attitude's great and we ended up using his talents for the cheap for a couple years.
