I think this is a good move for the Jazz. Another good expiring contract, one less question going into this difficult off season, and someone who I think we would have missed had he not been on the team. He has a serious skill that helps the Jazz, and he's a better defender/teammate then advertised.
His free throw shooting is a big plus in close games, he tends to hit big shots, and another year in the Jazz system won't hurt the teams performance. I also think it makes them the front runner to resign him next off season, and had he opted out I don't think the Jazz would have been likely to be able to resign him.
Happy he is staying.
