Please help me get AK on the Bucks

Post#1 » by WiscoKing13 » Tue Jun 30, 2009 4:32 pm

I really don't know what you guys are looking for AK, what I do know is you guys are going to have some major shake up happening with the reports that boozer is looking to stay in Utah.

The bucks salary is somewhere around 58 mil
We have a big expiring in ridnour at 6.5 mil
We could also add Kurt Thomas but we would have to wait 60 days.
I would add bowen to this list but after 60 days his contract becomes fully guarnteed

We have back SG Charlie Bell who is a terrific defender and decent 3 point shooter.

We have Joe Alexander who is a project but he's only entering his second year so their could be some value their.

Let me know what your looking for!

Unless we get a big expiring (ridnour isn't enough) i don't see anything happening. Especially since it's hard to say what the Jazz's FO's intentions are. Are they going to make the push to be a contender this year or try to save face financially like so many other organizations are doing? Or do they just stand pat and hope the fans stick with em for another mediocre mid 40 win season.

Whats the point? How are you going to get AK on the bucks?

Anyway in your hypothetical it would require Ridinour, Gadzuric and a sweetener (which would be a pick or someone like Alexander).

But IMO you're a terrible trade partner.

Its not happening any other way. Our biggest move will be moving Boozer, not AK. AK's expiring contract in a few years will be a huge trade chip. Since we are already in a financial mess might as well do what we can now without giving up too much.

Oh I totally agree but AK works out perfect for the bucks

Like I said the only way we really fit is the bucks can afford to aburb most of AK's contract

so than you can go after milsap and okur

Edit btw I love your avatar

I could give you Ridnour, Kurt Thomas and 3 mil in cash?

but we'd have to wait 60 days for kurt thomas to be traded with another player

That offer is not interesting at all. :x The Jazz have 2 expiring contracts for next year already in Harpring and Korver (and maybe a third in Boozer depending on what he does). So adding more expiring contracts doesn't help the Jazz this year--the year when they are under the salary cap crunch. I don't see a way to get AK to the Bucks as the players the Jazz WOULD be interested in the Bucks AREN'T looking to move.

what about
MIL sends Kurt Thomas and a second
MIL gets AK

NOH Sends Chandler
NOH gets Thomas and a second

UTAH Sends AK
Gets Chandler

Cuts cap and you get a Center if Okur doesn't come back

^They traded him last year for expirings

So why wouldn't they trade him for a second?

Even with Okur back I would trade for Chandler. I'd rather get rid of Boozer then AK, especially if we match Millsap (might be a stretch now)
