Memo is certainly on the level of Darrel Griffith if he stays the number of years. Griff should have had an all-star appearance, but he was ROY, the Jazz's only.

His number may be retired, but by a different team and if worn by a better player.

Guys like Griffith and Eaton played in a different era. I don't think that can be looked at as the bar for retiring their number. My opinion is the bar has raised as the Jazz' status improved. They helped move the Jazz from league doormat to respectable. Now that the team is one of the better teams in the league year in year out, I think the bar raised too. Take the team to a new level and you are in for sure. ;)
