Ah, right. Thanks for the correction.

I agree the Jazz shouldn't feel compelled to hurry to trade Boozer, even if it's public knowledge he will be dealt.

I think the best plan for dealing with the cap issue is to divide and conquer. First step is break Boozer's contract up into smaller ones. Then you can try those guys out for up to half a season before moving them for cheaper guys or cap space/trade exceptions.

Sure it does. It certainly does not weaken the Blazers and adding a tough, physical presence only helps the team.

It may have helped Portland basketball wise, but only minimally as he will only ever be a backup for them. And in paying so much for a career backup, they almost certainly have hurt themselves financially.
