The Trade of All Trades

Post#1 » by DByrne86 » Tue Jul 14, 2009 9:51 am

Boston: Out- Perkins/R. Allen/JR Giddens
In- Kirilenko/Prince/K. Brown/Uta 1st/Det 1st

Detroit: Out- Prince/Maxiell/K. Brown/1st
In- Perkins/Boozer/JR Giddens

Utah: Out- Boozer/Kirilenko/1st
In- R. Allen/Maxiell

Utah saves an incredible 10 million in cap/tax dollars while filling their two biggest needs. Of course it's unlikely Boston would do it since they're contending for the title right now, but a guy can dream can't he?

That is awful. The only 1st we can give up is the NYK pick not our own. Boston gets rid of a role player, a d-leaguer, and a past his prime all star for a stud sf, a decent sf/pf and two first round picks? The Jazz pass.

Successful Trade Scenario
Congratulations on a successful trade.

Due to Utah and Miami being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Utah and Miami had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

That Miami one makes a lot of sense. Miami will be reluctant to part with Beasley, but I think they could be talked into it.

Especially since I believe they would have zero problems getting Boozer to extend and/or resign there. He's wanted to be there all along, Wade is one of his best friends, more so than D-Will ever was. This trade makes all the sense in the world.
