I heard that broadcast and he did no such thing. He said he cpomes up with "Scenarios"--which he does--but he ALWAYS tells you they aren't rumors if they aren't or tell you if he actually "heard" something. What he DID say in that interview is that "Portland tends to low-ball"--which I thought was funny.

"In the impact I have in my role of trying to help all the teams in the NBA, I have thrown out this possibility [Kirk to Portland] any number of times over the last year or more, that Kirk - In fact, I've come up with some scenarios, from out of my mind mostly - but based on circumstances and situations..."

He then goes on to explain why he's thrown out the Kirk to Portland trade idea a number of times.

He flatly admits that he believes he's helping NBA teams by throwing out fake trade ideas.

Spin it however you want, but there is a reason NO ONE takes this guy seriously.

That's the thing---it's YOU that's "spinning it" however you want....not Sam. "throw[ing] out possibilities" is a far cry from "Smith FLAT OUT ADMITTED that he makes up trade ideas and posts them in his blog as tho they're rumors" unless you work for the Bush administration. It's FLAT OUT BS.
