If you have a choice between AK and T-Mac though who do you take? T-Macs' contract is no better then AKs'...

It's much worse for one year but then it's gone.

Kinda risky...but if he overcomes his injuries it would be a good deal. I've always liked Battier, he's consistent, good defender and great leader.

unfortunately, there is NO WAY the jazz/Houston would try and help each other out. Trades of star players to teams in the same conference are rare. The jazz would be more likely to send him out East than to Houston.

its an expiring, I'd probably trade AKs contract for any expiring, let alone a player who could turn out to be really good next to Deron in the back court. Its hideous now, trade AK and Harpring for him so its even money, Harpring gets bought out and returns or retires (the thought of Harpring in a Rockets jersey is just..yuckk) This gives us so much more flexibility next summer. Just think, if AK was on the 7/8mil he should be on now we'd be adding FAs to this team.

I like what AK brings, but for what he does, 16mil is unethical. Every year we tell him to improve and bulk up and every year he doesnt do it. If he's on our team I'll cheer for him, but I just think he's overstayed his welcome here, he's be better off in an uptempo system, we'd be better off with one year of McGrady and then relaxed finances at last.

Are you kidding me? This trade is terrible for the Jazz. McGrady is out until February and who knows how he will be when he returns. The trade is Boozer for next to nothing. No Thanks.

Boozer is somebody that opens his mouth a little too much. However, his actions have always been consistent. Everything he has done is a decision that he thinks or will net him the most money. It's why he left Cleveland, it's why he said he would opt during the season, it's why he ended up opting in, and it's why he is asking for a trade. I'm all for trading Boozer, but we should get good value for him. Most of the rumors involve him are for crap (see the Miami rumor). If we can't find a good trade, then lets keep and see how he does. I think he'll play awesome because it's in Boozer's best interest to play well in order to get his next payday.

This is the point. In the proposed trade the Jazz would only save around $1.5 million, which of course would become $3 million with luxury tax. They would also be losing some valuable rotation players and getting back a guy who's crippled by injuries-- in other words, an expiring contract. Jazz would be making their team significantly worse. It's absurd.
