OT: Other Jazz players in league

Post#1 » by Lava Rock Kid » Wed Oct 7, 2009 10:40 pm

I looked at box scores to see how Almond and Collins were doing with their teams and they both have recieved a DNP-coaches decision. I feel badly for them. I appreciate that Sloan during preseason gives all of his players a chance to play and show what they can do.

How bad would it suck to get DNP during the preseason when you hope that if you dont get a contract at least others will see you play.

Of course if it is close tomorrow against Real Madrid, I hope our starters get more minutes because it would be embarrasing to lose to a european team.

Ostertag and Collins were just fine at what they do. They don't thrill but they did their job. I think Collins would make the Jazz team if he was unguaranteed here.

That's actually an insult to Ostertag. Ostertag blocked shots, rebounded and played defense beyond trickery and flopping. He could also (occasionally) dunk the ball.

Yes, Ostertag was more productive than Collins... and that don't say too much about Jarron.

I know its only pre season but has anyone seen what Kris Humphries has been doing for Dallas? He has been getting more that 14pts and 8rbs off the Mavs bench. Where did this come from?

They don't care if he plays defense or that he plays outside the offense?

feel bad for almond. on the wiretap, http://basketball.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/62267/20091021/orlando_waives_morris_almond/ almond was just cut from the magic. first from the knicks summer team, then the magic preseason team. he's a good player, cant he wise up and play a team game?
