thoughts:

- CJ is in an awful slump right now
- Memo has little confidence in his shot lately
- Korver could have been used cause badly we had no outside shots falling
- Ronnie Price has some nice offensive moves, just wish he had a consistent jumpshot
-Wesley Matthews is still looking very promising player for this team
- screw the refs, they were wildly inconsistent all night

Even before the clock hit midnight, the Jazz had an early contender for their most agonizing loss of 2010, falling 87-86 to the Oklahoma City Thunder and seeing red on New Year's Eve after a call in the closing seconds by a rookie referee.

The Jazz thought they had come up with the stop they needed as Kevin Durant missed a jumper, but referee Kane Fitzgerald whistled Paul Millsap for a loose-ball foul going after the rebound, sending Nick Collison to the foul line with 4.5 seconds left.

Asked about a rookie referee making such a game-deciding call, Sloan said: "It doesn't make any difference who it was. They all make mistakes, we make mistakes, I'd just like to see the play."

He finished with 14 points, but Williams' night likely will be remembered for this nugget he shared about Fitzgerald: "I asked him if he was a rookie, he got mad at me."

I remember Locke mentioning that they had a ref that he had never heard of before. Go figure it was him that screwed up that call.

BTW, the pic of AK in that link looks awesome! He looks like he is wearing a halloween mask or something.

Word is, South Beach is ecstatic that they
won't be seeing Millsaps talents again this season...

Kings get screwed in LA tonight. Kobe his a 3 when his heel is clearly on the sideline and they rule it good, Lakers win by one. Must have had the same ref crew for that game.

LOL, no mentions of him possibly being out of bounds anywhere on ESPN. I just watched a youtube vid and you could tell from far away that he was.

It's stuff like this preferential star treatment that makes it hard for me to stay a fan of the NBA. If we didn't have a team in Utah, I probably wouldn't care.
