The problem with Gortat and Bass is that have multi=year contracts and don't help the Jazz financially. Otherwise, it would be a good trade for both teams. The rebounding duo of Boozer and Howard would be impressive.

Who is that woman and where did you get it from? I've seen her in a GIF before on this site, iirc, and another one.

As for the Jazz, we need to tank. At this point in the year we should unload Okur for expirings, maybe even throw in Brewer to entice someone to take him. Both have been really bad this year. Then we need to either a) trade Boozer in a deal that brings back a young player or AT LEAST a mid 1st rounder or b) trade Millsap and plan around Booz for the future. Then we need to unload Korver in a deal that allows us to shave a mil or so. We're not that far from the luxury tax line right now, a few mil here or there will get us there.

Then, like I said, we need to tank. Tell Deron to take a vacation, get a top 10 pick from ourselves. Send an envelope with anthrax to David Lee and make Gallo spend a week digging potatoes by hand.

If we could get two top 10 picks, keep Deron and Boozer, and add another nice piece or two from a Millsap or Boozer trade, we could easily reload and remake ourselves into a contender for next season. It wouldn't take much. We just need a real wing who can do the things wings are SUPPOSED to do (shoot, handle, penetrate) and a big who can either defend the PnR or block shots/defend at a top tier level. If we got one of each, we would be right back in contention.

Two top 10 picks isn't really that sure of a thing. This organization will never tank on purpose.

Just remember that the Jazz management really wanted to keep Millsap. ;)

Now everybody is considered on the block, including Millsap; except for Williams.

Everyone being tradable doesn't mean they are looking to get rid of everybody.

I think there is a regret now that the Jazz decided to match the Millsap offer. I just find it ironic.

I think there is more regret about signing Okur, and having Boozer and Korver both opt in.

That could be true since I don't follow your team as closely as you. I was looking at it from the point of view that you already have Okur signed, Boozer and Korver decided to stay and you're looking at the threat of a luxury tax before the Blazers made an offer to Millsap. Because making the choice to match the Millsap offer really put the Jazz's luxury tax situation very difficult. That was the back-breaker IMO. That is how I was viewing the situation when I originally made my comment.

I was actually surprised to hear that the Jazz are open to trading anybody, but Williams, especially after matching the Millsap offer that really will put a drain on the Jazz's finances.

Anyway, good luck to your team and trying work out all these issues. :D

Have the Jazz played a single really poor game with DWill out o the lineup in the last three years? I know they have played many really poor games with him in the lineup. It could simply be true that other players get more involved in the game when they are touching the ball and making plays.

they have when he missed an extended period of time....the implication that some fans make of the Jazz being better without Deron is pretty sad to me...I can't believe how fickle the fan base is....

Jazz fans looking to trade Deron are the definition of knee jerk reaction without thinking of the future whackos. Teams can overachieve when they are forced to deal with something like their best player getting injured, but the chances of long term success are slim.

Word is, South Beach is ecstatic that they
won't be seeing Millsaps talents again this season...
