That's why you don't leave early!

So we had technical difficulties at work for like five hours today which gave me plenty of time to read every Jazz related website/forum and from what I've read it seems around 30% of the fans left early and some people turned the game off early too! What's up with that? Pay all that money and don't remain for the last 30 seconds of the game? Beating traffic is overrated. I've watched enough sports to know better than this.

I'd also like to give props to Sloan for extending the game like that. He could have tried to stop the Cavs when they had the ball with 28 seconds left but after what LeBron was doing fouling was the right call. I've seen games where we extended it like that before and came up short but that's why you always try to extend the game. Two that come to mind is @ Portland in February 2007 where some bizarre crap happened in the final minute (I think we got a free throw for one of the Blazers having their jersey untucked or something) then Fisher hit two three's but I think Memo came up short at a chance to send the game to OT. Another one that I recall is at Atlanta in December 2007. We were down 10 with about 20 seconds left and then Miles had a chance to send it to OT but missed a three at the buzzer. In contrast the Wolves gave up in triple OT Wednesday night by not fouling when they were down four points with 8 seconds left. Well they fouled but there was no hurry and it came with three seconds left. I've seen four point deficits overcame with less time (Lakers/Kings in 06 or 07 which was on ESPN comes to mind). So yeah, I've watched a lot of basketball.

Guess you turned your TV off early last night.

Looks like a few Hawks fans learned their lessons tonight too.

Ya no kidding. I had the pleasure of being at the game and was really surprised to see how many people left early. At least 10+ people sitting near me left when we were only down by 4. You pay for the tickets and you get a chance to see LeBron and you leave early? I don't understand it at all....I never leave early. Even when the games are total blow outs I love to stay and watch the young guys get in there and play garbage time. Fans should never leave early unless they have an actual legitmate reason to do so.

Awesome game.

I agree with everything that has been said. If your fan enough to buy tickets to the game then you SHOULD BE fan enough to stay until the end imo.

OT-Are there any Arrested Devolopment fans that laughed at this thread? "Thats why you always leave a note". "Thats why you never yell". George Bluth needs to teach these guys a lesson!
